The 2026 NSAA Track & Field Classifications have been released. Schools are classified based on total enrollment.

The top 92 schools will be placed into Classes A and B. Schools with total enrollment of 850 or above will be placed in Class A, with the remainder of the 92 schools placed into Class B.

The next 88 largest schools will be in Class C, and the remaining schools placed into Class D.

The 2026 auto qualifying standards for the high jump and pole vault are as listed below

In addition to the regular qualifiers in boys and girls Pole Vault and High Jump, all will qualify who equal or exceed the additional qualifier mark at the 2026 NSAA District Track Meet. The additional qualifier mark is determined by using the average height of the 8th place medalist at the State Meet for the past three years.
