TR in a knee brace?

Just saw a picture on a friend's FB page of Tyler Russel walking out of the Palmero Center aoubt an hour ago with a brace on his left knee. Anyone know what's up with that?

It might be a little more sponge-like. It is there because of the baseball infield. It is for baseball more than football. It's not pretty but it serves a purpose.

it's thick glossy paneling. Up close it's pretty nice. From a distance it does resemble plywood. .

It might have a sealer on it, but its definitely plywood.

but after practicing in there for four years and hearing baseballs tossed off the wall, I have a hard time believing it's not plywood. However, if you or someone you know installed it or has inside info then I stand corrected. nm

I have been in there and actually walked up to it and looked at it closely. It is plywood. You can knock on it and tell it is plywood set up for baseball. However, baseballs have damaged that place pretty badly over the last few years. It looks like crap to be honest compared to walking into OM's IPF. Huge difference. Our facility is very low class and cheaply done. I wouldn't be surprised if that place doesn't get a major renovation over the next few years to bring it back up to standards. It should have been a 100 yard field to begin with and we should have used some type of netting all around the field to keep fly balls from crashing into the walls and putting holes all over the building. Just my opinion though. I am not impressed at all by the Palmerio Center. It is a place under a roof in case of rain but it is definitely low class that looks like nobody cares what it looks like on the inside. Wish Football would get its own IPF and let that Palmerio Center stay baseball and for camps and stuff.

then it's the nicest 17ing plywood I ever seen and I've seen some 17ing plywood in my time. We've got ourselves an IPF covered with the best 17ing plywood money can buy. Let's leave at that.

In pictures that Mullen tweeted this evening, TR had braces on BOTH knees.
