Just saw this from Jeff Goodman... some hope?!


Nearly 10 of the top coaches in college basketball have spoken and are on board with the following idea, source told me.

- Selection Sunday on as planned.

- Postpone the NCAA Tournament and continue to monitor the situation.

“We all talked, and agree on this,” once told me.

And the Selection Committee is self-quarantined anyway, so this works out fine.

I am guessing they already have a cut-off date in mind for cancellation. Don't need to make that call this weekend.

Now this makes sense to me. I couldn't agree more.

They should have announced this as the plan as soon as the NBA shut down.

it was the right call and we are fortunate to have not had a game yesterday.

Would be great. Let's hope. No asterisk next to our name on a 30 year tourney drought next year. Monkey off our back.

If it does not happen, and Pike has an NCAA bonus clause, we should pay it to him anyway.

This would be great but how would the tournament selection be accurate if a lot of the conference tournaments didn't finish?

This isn’t rocket science - most of us have been saying the same thing. Sad it takes coaches to bring attention to the idea. The NCAA should have reached this conclusion already. Poor job by them, IMO.

Well even Palm had RU in his last bracket. Not in his first four... and yet still behind Indy and Xavier.

none of that matters now, of course.

To be fair, the NCAA has not announced a decision yet.
