Total eclipse watchers?

I was maybe 40 miles due north of you. It never occurred to me that I was so close to Georgia. We had some cloud issues and had to play eclipse chaser some but finally got to see it.
We had what they called 93% obfuscation here, so I didn't travel. Walked outside of work, looked for a few minutes, got a few pictures, went back and got busy again.
Mine began about 8:30 last night. Became completely dark close to 9:15, and by the time I got up this morning at the usual time of 5 a.m., the eclipse was still going on. Amazing night.
It was my wifes birthday and the whole family was here and it was an all day event. We all loved it.....Even my 14 month old grand daughter had glasses. Was thinking about saving the glasses for the next partial one in 7 years but read on the glasses that they are only good for 3 years.
If all goes well I plan on catching the next total eclipse in Ohio assuming that I still live in WV then.
The partial is very interesting and nice but it's not gee whiz wow like the total. I hope to be in the next path as well.
Partial in Richmond, VA it was about 85% so not as cool as thew total. It was interesting to hear the b birds go completely silent and there were some really loud bugs in the woods that either you normally can't hear or were confused by the eclipse. It definitely got darker, it reminded me of either dusk or sudden cloud cover er before a summer rain storm where it's raining at your location but maybe not a mile away and still light.

I watched from my back porch and over the lake. A little disappointed since the ring didn't totally close on the bottom(South). Of course I had seen the total ring on TV earlier.
