Since the thread is here, guess i'll give my thoughts on the game.
Hell of a game. I'd be lying if I said I wasn't bummed given the opportunity we had in front of us, but it's hard to be too upset. PSU played their hearts out all 4 quarters. Not a lot more you can ask from the players. OSU is a damned good team that found a way to get it done. Sucks it ended in the fashion it did, but Rahne still called a very good game, incuding the last play. If the tackle picks up the twist, Sanders takes the ball to the house. Just didn't work out. I think we could do a lot, lot worse as far as OCs go, and he still has my full support for whatever little that means. Couple of questionable decisions by Franklin (not kicking the field goal in particular stings) but hey, he is the guy that is getting paid millions to make that decision, and it has worked out for us a lot more than it hasn't in his tenure here.
As far as atmosphere goes, it was absolutely incredible. Place was rocking since about noon on Thursday. Second loudest I have ever heard the stadium outside of OSU in 2005. Will absolutely pay dividends down the line with the 250+ stars worth of kids in attendance.
As much as it sucks, its a good growth opportunity for the young bucks. Time to learn what they are made of. Pick yourselves up by the bootstraps, and get ready for MSU in two weeks.
