Heyyyyyy should be a solid pickup and really good role player.
He averaged like 6 and 4 as a freshman in 30 games this year. He has a really solid body and most people think he is a bit of a late bloomer, sort of like Obi was. He has some skills, but is still raw.
Not a big move for next year. Hopefully down the line. 9th 10th on the roster, but fills a spot and like I said hopefully ready to play some in 2021-2022 season.
If he’s half as good as his brother I’ll be happy. His brother was tough.

I just saw this a minute ago. That happened fast. I wish Haarms would happen that fast. Says Toppin is coming as a traditional transfer. I wonder if it's 2021 for him or if there is any chance for 2020. Anyway, if this kid is anything close to his brother he should be solid for years to come.

Any "traditional" transfer has a legit case for a hardship/free transfer.

He will sit out and sharpen his game against Clark and Boston in practice.
Practice player and could eventually develop into something great. Works for me.

Since he's transferring here it may play out that way. If he had signed here outta HS, chances are he would've transferred out after one year. I hope he sticks it out and develops into a beast.
I didn't realize there were so many Rhode Island fans/experts on this forum. Awful lot of people suddenly know a whole bunch about Toppin.
No idea how anyone can say he is going to be great based on his profile and results so far. But, I hope they are correct.
He's definitely a guy to have as a practice player this year so that's a big benefit.
