Top 8 Seed on the line today?

I can’t see the NCAA giving out more than 2 Top 8 seeds to the SEC....

I can’t see them even considering giving one to a team that goes 1-5 at home

against their direct competition. With Vandy lurking next week, this is the game of the year today. Yeah there’ll hopefully be bigger ones later on but today is huge.

No one game is ever that decisive. We could both be top 8 seeds, or neither of us could be. SEC will get at least 3, and possibly as many as 5, top 8 seeds. Arkansas & Vandy will get 2. The remaining 1-3 will come from MSU, UM, Tennessee, South Carolina, or possibly even Florida if they get hot the rest of the season.

We won't get a top seed if we lose today. You can forget it barring a collapse by Ark and OM.

I think it’s certainly big for both teams. Yesterday was Ole Miss’s biggest game of the year, now today is. But, both teams still would have to take care of business the rest of the next two weekends.

The thing that could hurt either of us is Tennessee looks like they’re going to take a national seed and that was certainly unexpected. Based on RPI, etc. I think y’all can still get a national seed if you lose today. I don’t know that we can, short of sweeping LSU and A&M both.

If they aren’t going to have more than two SEC teams as top-8 national seeds, they should probably try to convince the pollsters to stop putting five SEC teams in the top-8.

What? The NCAA gave 4 top 8 seeds to the SEC in each of the last 2 NCAA Tournaments and have awarded 3 to the SEC plenty of times.

Today is huge
