This is my list and I listened to it on my uncle’s Stereo when I was growing up.
Also effigy is a tug at the heart strings favorite.
You beat me to it, CCR is my dads all time favorite band and I grew up listening to his records with him. I was probably a teenager before I learned that no, the bathrooms not up on the right.
Thats not my top misheard lyric though. That award goes to Simon and Garfunkel. For this one you need to realize that I was 13-14yr old when I discovered my love for 60-70’s music and we all know how the 13-14yo male mind works. But I was disappointed that in Mrs. Robinson they were “going to the candidate’s debate”, and not “going to the can to masturbate.” Between Anne Bancroft and Katherine Ross I’m sure there was plenty of the latter lyric.

They have a bunch of great songs, I learned to play the drums with a bunch of them but Long as I Can See the Light is by far my favorite.
7 albums in 4 years! I’ve got a few on vinyl that I inherited from my dad.
