It's sad we are having to do this........ Again. But, I like the following in this order Shaw, Shaw, Shaw, and Frost. Given our decision making in the last few years, we will end up with someone who is obscure,.and Shaw isn't coming, but a guy can sure dream right>?

As long as Pickens is in good health, Gundy would come. I think he and Moos would have some good stories to tell each other about the pain in the rear it is working with one gigantic donor.

No idea if it’s even worth trying but Stoops. If he’d even consider it, I say pay the man whatever it takes to get him here. Love or hate him, dude is as close to Saban or Urban Meyer as we can get. If we do fire Riley “AFTER” the seasons over, I hope we go after Bob Stoops or try to at least.

What about Kyle Wittingham? In the Pac 12 and able to field a competitive team. Lost by one to USC on Saturday.

Nebraska to get a big time coach start at 4 million a year and go up to 8-9 million a year

No way Stoops is coming back, have you read the stuff about he and his wife? Never say never though. Then you have the problem that all of his assistants are still at OU. Who would want to rebuild that way?

Seriously, who on this list would even consider Nebraska? They all have pretty good gigs right now, good support, easier recruiting, why leave. Oh, it's the 8-9 mil. Then what's the payout if that doesn't work?

No way do these coaches not give Nebraska a look if they are offered...

Brohm is at Purdue... That is not a good gig
Frost is at UCF... That is not a good gig
Bohl is at Wyoming... That is not a good gig
Leach is at Washington State... That is not a good gig

The following would take some hard work and convincing, but are not out the question...

Patterson is a TCU... If he wasn't there for so long he would be on the list above, but I think it would be an uphill battle to get him

Venebles is a DC... Although being the head coach at Nebraska would be a huge step up, I think he likes being a DC

Gundy is at Oklahoma State... He knows Nebraska is a better job, but he is a lifer at Okla St., he would listen though if the price is right. I just don't think he would be worth 5-6 million

Hell would have to freeze over hires...

Shaw - Stanford has too much going for them, and he is an alum. He would be my top pick if I was the picker

Stoops - He is never coaching again

Sweeney - Really we could not offer him enough money

Peterson - He is a PAC 12 guy through and through, would be #2 on my list behind Shaw, but we should of offered the kitchen sink to him when we got Riley instead. He is a Washington guy now, but there is an outside chance if he knows Moos. Of this group I think he would be our best chance

Franklin - He will be at Penn State until he sucks or retires... That means he is not on the table.

These coaches are possible and not on the original list...

Les Miles - You know he has passion for the team, you heard him during the NIU game

Chip Kelly - We have a connection with Moos

Kyle Wittingham - Yeah Nebraska or Utah? I think if we do push for him he will come. Just not sure we will go after him

Justin Fuentes - Not likely, but he may listen if we offer. Virginia Tech is not a better job than Nebraska, but it is not much worse.

Last but not least my Sleeper pick...

Dave Aranda - Last year there was no way he comes to Nebraska he was too good according to a lot of folks on here. Well guess what Ed O. is struggling and Aranda may need a landing spot. The Timing may be just right!

actually.. that makes a lot of sense.. good coach, but about as likable as Pelini.. he plays tough football and finds diamonds everywhere.
