Football discussion is getting buried by the “one word thread” or “lawn care thread”. Can we group those OT threads somewhere else?
Or you could keep starting new threads on threads that are active.Football discussion is getting buried by the “one word thread” or “lawn care thread”. Can we group those OT threads somewhere else?
Who's that?Or you could keep starting new threads on threads that are active.
Hardly think the lawn thread or one word theead is causing problems .
There is a other problem many have complained about but nothing gets done. One poster keeps dropping threads that get no replies or very few replies, and he keeps bumping them to top.
Racking my brain and just can’t come up with who you might possibly be talking aboutOr you could keep starting new threads on threads that are active.

Personally I just pass over threads that don’t interest me. Not hardFootball discussion is getting buried by the “one word thread” or “lawn care thread”. Can we group those OT threads somewhere else?

I had to scan past NUMEROUS football threads to find this one.Too many OT threads, adds an OT thread
Whatever happened to that person? That thread needs to be bumped. At least that guy who used to post three different threads a day about where to find Rutgers socks, ashtrays, hubcaps, etc. is hardly on the site anymore.
c'mon, this is a grudge response, isn't it?The OT's are fine...It is the useless threads that come in bunches with random links to paysites with no context. Are more recently- a handful of the same posters just crushing the negative anti Rutgers, Anti Schiano threads back to back to back.
the 1* poster that floods this board with pay articles and twitter $#!t without bothering to comment threads are useless and not worth going on the threads he starts. The OT's are fine...It is the useless threads that come in bunches with random links to paysites with no context. At least he puts all the links in one thread now. Nothing wrong with doing it that way. His threads should kust be skipped over by those that don't want this guessing game of paywalled or not link.
Funny thing is that I noticed he started doing that a couple of weeks ago- but it seems that since he almost never got a response, he went back to the one massive link post and other individual ones again tooc'mon, this is a grudge response, isn't it?

Ahhh- that makes senseNo, he doesn't. That's Richie combining the threads.
ohhh.. so he makes work for Richie? NGNo, he doesn't. That's Richie combining the threads.
It's funny- I see so many of his threads and just ignore them but then will see a thread that has a bunch of responses and assume it may be a good article that got posters commenting on it. I open it up and see it is just 15 posts by him of new links. And I was wondering why he didnt just put all the links into his first post. But if Richie is merging them, it makes sense now.ohhh.. so he makes work for Richie? NG
oh yeah.. I have noticed that before as well. One post, keep updating. Hmm.. any chance he automated it and does not actually use the website like a real person where he could choose to just edit his previous thread OP? Or maybe he does it manually but just wants the bump. It's funny- I see so many of his threads and just ignore them but then will see a thread that has a bunch of responses and assume it may be a good article that got posters commenting on it. Well, he was using automation 20 years ago with his 1 star ratings on any thread he didn’t like- hundreds or thousands of 1 stars so no matter how many gave it a higher rating, it didn’t matteroh yeah.. You are correct. This is all bad form in the name of providing information.
What amazes me is he merges other peoples threads constantly. But creates new threads for each link he provides. Also why he feels the need to move and delete threads on a whim. It's funny- I see so many of his threads and just ignore them but then will see a thread that has a bunch of responses and assume it may be a good article that got posters commenting on it. There are still 2 injury threads, but don't think he likes me, and I am not heartbroken. What amazes me is he merges other peoples threads constantly. But creates new threads for each link he provides. Also why he feels the need to move and delete threads on a whim.
I'm gonna guess that refers to me and I had been posting in the weekly game threads for years with tons of tweets and articles about the games and news around CFB and it was always contained in one thread I got complaints suddenly after years of doing it thinking it was helpful with everything being aggregated in one place, so anyone could talk about, read anything they felt like with regards to the games that week and CFB news in general of the week...simply scroll through the thread and plenty of info and discussion all in one spot.the 1* poster that floods this board with pay articles and twitter $#!t without bothering to comment threads are useless and not worth going on the threads he starts.
You would think if he's posting something he would give an opinion on ir. I get the impresion he finds tham and posts them w3ithout reading them.
Another poster posts a lot of twitter and articles, he at least posts his thoughts about what he puts on this board..
The negitive nellies are a combination of trolls, long time Schiano haters ( but RU fans) nebies (ru fans) who expected better from Greg and those wjho ike him but tired of waiting for Rutgers to stay with the best instead of worring if they can keep up with the rest
I might be considered a pro-Greg positive phil ( not my name just part of classification I give to the ones that try to put a good light where doom and gloom is starting to take hold)
But even I feel a better HC will be needed if Rutgers is to become an elite program.
I hope the new AD can find the type of funding that puts Rutgers into a position to financially afford to pay what it takes to be great.
( and so ends another message by me that turned ,what should have been, a short story into a full blown novel)
Your non-RU weekly game threads are excellent and bring value to the board.I'm gonna guess that refers to me and I had been posting in the weekly game threads for years with tons of tweets and articles about the games and news around CFB and it was always contained in one thread I got complaints suddenly after years of doing it thinking it was helpful with everything being aggregated in one place, so anyone could talk about, read anything they felt like with regards to the games that week and CFB news in general of the week...simply scroll through the thread and plenty of info and discussion all in one spot.
Backed off a couple weeks to see if it was stifling anything and I don't think so....less activity and views compared to the usual of the past years. Now I don't care, anyone is welcome to take part, contribute and read as has always been the case and if you don't like it don't open it. People just like to complain, instead of simply ignoring things that don't interest them which is so easy to do on a messageboard.
Nope not you. Come to think of it, early in the NFL preseason I posted a list of players and when they were playing on what channel and it got merged into a general thread about NFL Knights where no one looking for info specific to which games had R players. I think I made a new thread asking why that happened.. the merge.. and it was split back off. I assume Richie agreed with me and chose to do it.There are still 2 injury threads, but don't think he likes me, and I am not heartbroken.
Richie intervened on some nonsense he pulled with one of my threads. Changes titles, etc. Get a life!!!
And why does he have to start every thread on the local football and baseball teams. Not a Mets fan, never participates, but feels the need to run the Mets thread. Just odd. The poster Zak57 or Doctor Worm or Mad RU or some other Mets fan should run the Mets thread.
White Bus made a boss move and started the Yankees thread. Good for him.
You may be right and I overreacted to you because of TT. You explained yourself and all is good. That is good stuff by you. The moderator- not so much. Over 20 years of causing issues with Rutgers fans.I'm gonna guess that refers to me and I had been posting in the weekly game threads for years with tons of tweets and articles about the games and news around CFB and it was always contained in one thread I got complaints suddenly after years of doing it thinking it was helpful with everything being aggregated in one place, so anyone could talk about, read anything they felt like with regards to the games that week and CFB news in general of the week...simply scroll through the thread and plenty of info and discussion all in one spot.
