Remember how some people threw a fit over his hire? Worth every penny.

Joe Deforest also.

Some of you are clueless.

Yea....joe was so much worth every penny that he took a pay cut because nobody else would offer him anything close to what he was originally getting.

What a joke post from the OP

I guess the OP conveniently overlooks the disaster our D was under DeFo's tenure as D-Coordinator.

Well anyway ... it sure looks like we have a good defensive coaching staff in place now.
I am very impressed with what they have done. I was not a fan of the Gibson hire, but when I started to see what he was going to do, I really liked what I saw. I got so sick of the lack of fundamentals, from our defense, under eFore. Gibson and staff have really turned that aspect around. I also love the aggressive scheme, as well as trying to WIN with defense, instead of playing the full game prevent. I like Jeff Casteel, but Gibson's defense is way more fun to watch.

Defending a triple option is difficult. It's assignment football. I thought we looked pretty good. Watch Georgia Tech or Navy, that attack can drive you crazy.

But DeForest really is a key part of the staff. They just needed to find his niche. Forget the past and accept the present. Gibson is a good coordinator and he is now surrounded by a good staff.

Not sure why you have to be such a douche. I'll reserve judgement until at least game 3 because you can't seriously draw many conclusions against GaSo. The team did what is was SUPPOSED to do against that level of competition. No doubt we have a solid lb corp & secondary. Can't wait to see what they do against Baylor & TCU and the rest of the BXII

I thought the hiring of Tony G. was a huge mistake. I missed that one.
But DeForrest??? The dude has not held the same position in consecutive seasons since he has been here. D-coordinator, bust! Special teams guru, bust! Not even sure what he coaches now. Linebackers maybe????? And I think the fact that I don't know is a good thing. The farther the man is out of the lime light the better off we are!!!
