I think Daniels showed enough during the season that they don't really need Fair as badly as they initially thought. The younger Daniels as a redshirt sophomore will probably be better than Fair who would come in as a junior. As others have said, it would be better to bring in a big HS nose tackle who could redshirt next year behind Daniels and the seniors. Unless you are desperate for depth, there's no need to bring in any juco who you do not think can start for you.

I agree with basically everything you typed. They cut him loose to free up a scholarship because they are comfortable at NT or/and they are in on a more talented player.

We will need more 4* guys to finish at fifteen. It's pretty obvious. It leads me too think we are on to some 4* guys on the d-line and more specifically NT. I know about Polamalu's nephew the staff visited, and the safety his cousin. Are we gonna pull in all these cats?
Let's do it! Time for NU to recruit like the school its trophy case says it is.

Impossible, I was told that Frost won't pull an offer for a prettier girl........ha ha ha
It sounds like they don't think they can get him admitted to NU in a timely manner if at all and they don't want another Woodyard situation. I suspect that is why he seems to be so understanding about the situation. He'll find a spot without any problem.

Does Nebraska have a different type of admissions than other schools for jucos? It sure seems like it almost takes a act of congress for players to get iin

I do not know the admissions standards for Nebraska or others considering JUCO players. However, the NCAA requirements are the same. Does he have the grades in the required subjects. I keep seeing the "23 credits" taken which doesn't mean much IF they are not the right credits and IF the grades are not high enough. When a kid takes 23 credits it is hard to get a feel for how all those classes come out.

Nebraska took multiple JUCO players last year and there were some problems but overall not that many. So, that would seem to indicate that the overall system is not the problem. Also, Fair had to get things done for an early graduation in December which put pressure on the entire situation.

I think part of it is that this staff wants the JUCOs on campus for Spring ball. So they need to get their two year degree in three semesters.

Can't say I blame them with the lack of impact from the JUCOs they brought in last cycle

I think it’s a great policy. Outside of slim few extremely high caliber JUCOs, the ‘cant miss’ guys, the policy makes a ton of sense.

They go through strength and conditioning on campus and they get to go through spring ball.

Different schools have different rules on what credits they will allow to transfer and what their prerequisites are for admission.
