Tony Diaz appreciation thread

[Franisdaman]

Damn. What a stud. We haven't had a WR like this since....?

[r_desihawk]

ragaini?

[Stoopsbrother]

CJ Jones

[2D]

If only he had a QB that could get him the ball.

[Franisdaman]

84 yards
7 catches
1 TD

[NoPuntsNoPeace]

Heck of a player

[pocha444444]

I'm trying not to overreact, but based on what I saw today I think he might be Kirk's best receiver he's had at Iowa.

[KurtWarner]

Hope he does that against better competition. He sure looked good today

Brown probably should have had an INT, too.

Smart play by Tony. He couldn't catch it & made sure the defender didn't catch it, either.

[Franisdaman]

Tony got a lot of pregame love

[QChawks]

pathetic

[IowaLaw]

Show some respect when discussing the conference's 21st ranked receiver.

That sounds pathetic...but last year Iowa had no receivers ranked in the top 50 of the Big 10. The year before, Gill clocked in at 48th and was Iowa's leading receiver.

For what ... the two catches he has made this year.

[Fight4Iowa]

Needs to tuck that ball away.

Remember when Charlie Jones wasted away in the Iowa offense, that’s was fun

Tyrone Tracy has more receptions in the NFL this year than he got at Iowa. There's something wrong with Iowa's offense and Lester is not able to fix it.

Typical kirk and passing is the demon kirk mentality, cant find a way to get playmaker the ball reminds me of koc and the vikes onaly targeting jefferson a handfull of times a game

[Stoopsbrother]

for i think the 5 or 6th year in a row here I am again just wanting a NORMAL ******* OFFENSE!!!! is that to much to ******* ask for????

Kirk is and always will be the problem with the offense.

[yrunvs]

Not overly impressed with Diaz. He could have made some catches vs gophers but failed.

[BigOHawk1]

Well if the QB's put the ball on Diaz those two times he probably has 200 yards receiving in this game...

Not sure which is worse - out QB or WR room? Both need an overhaul....

The silver lining is at least The Boogeyman is a step up from Seth 'Slippery Hands' Anderson...

Yeah Jarriet B, Kj Parker, and Howard are non-factors after all these seasons. Sad.

Portaled the Lance Beeghley receiver…Has he even seen the field?

My favorite thing every year before the season starts is multiple threads will talk about how much better the WR room is going to be and mention all of our receivers who have played 3 years and have 3-4 catches total. We never figure it out. It can't be explained.
