Tommi Hill getting props from DC White

Kid was a Rivals 5.8/4* and has the physical tools. Was a second year player last year and obviously wasn’t ready to be a factor in the **** show that was Chins D. Hartzog had the benefit of emerging after Busch took the reins. Props to Bill for recognizing Malcom was a baller. If Cooper gets Hill to play with confidence, NU will be on its way to having really solid secondary play. Sack percentages go up the longer a QB is looking for an open receiver.
At this point I don't have an opinion on him either positive or negative just based on Spring practices. I hope ALL the players are great under the new coaches and new schemes BUT I'll wait to see the on field performances in real games before forming an opinion. I've been burned too many times before by "emerging stars" in the Spring that then fizzled in the Fall.
He was averse to physical contact last season. Maybe that was a byproduct of the zero live tackling that Scott Frost believed in during practice? I know that Rhule had the kids playing actual football this spring and I am sure that Hill has shown improvement if he's running 2nd team. I just worry about giving up long break away runs if Hill and Farmer are on the field at the same time.
I would guess there is a lot of players very happy to have a new staff. Along with all of us of course.
