Tom Crean

I just checked out his Marquette record was taken aback. What was it about this guys resume that main him a coaching candidate for any prime coaching job, especially Indiana or even Kentucky? He had 10+ loss season seven out of his nine years there, with the only exception being the Dwayne Wade team that all UK fans know about. His avg. loss per season was 10.6. He never once won a Big East or Conf. USA post-season tourney. He only won a conference regular season title once, and that was when he had you know who. He is 10 loss Tubby if only you took the worst seasons of Tubby and ignored his national championship team or elite teams of 1999, 2003, 2004, and 2005. I just don't understand it.

You forget how down IU was at the time. They had like no players after the Kelvin Sampson debacle. They had to take what they could get. They should actually be happy with Crean that he made them a legit D-1 team again... but it's past time to dump him.

Crean has been living off that Marquette run with Dwyane Wade. That's the only deep NCAAT run he's made.

This is the answer right here. Crean has made it out of the NCAA first weekend 3 times in his 16 years of being a head coach between Marquette and IU.
