whatever happened to Jeff House and Mike Moses
...and Jeff Mitchell, who was replaced by Abatemarco when Mitchell left coaching to join a family business. I wonder if he ever got back into coaching.

Speaking of Abatemarco, I can still vividly remember a Court Club meeting in which he was the featured speaker. He started talking about players RU was recruiting. A member interrupted him to tell him he shouldn't be talking about specific recruits because it's an NCAA violation. His response, paraphrasing, "Oh, it's no problem. I can talk freely about 'em to my friends and I consider all of you my friends." He then continued talking about the recruits and telling amusing stories about recruiting the players. As Phil alluded to above, Abatemarco was indeed a riot.

Assistant coaches are really traveling salesmen moving from one job to the next, working in all parts of the country and in some cases transitioning from mens to womens basketball. The love of the game keeps them going along with the hope of getting a head coaching position.

You think, after all of these years, Abatemarco hopes to get another head coaching gig? After what happened at Drake back in 1990, and his current age, he is unlikely to be hired as a head coach again. He does, however, have an incredible basketball mind.
