They should have fired Mike Riley after the Minnesota game. Many called for it. Now look at the mess we are in today. Getting kicked in the mouth by Iowa. Such an embarrassment.

I don’t see it. Who are you putting in charge, crazy *** Diaco? We would have still lost this game but maybe with someone different the effort would have been a little better. I mean look at this mess of a game.
Good point.I don’t see it. Who are you putting in charge, crazy *** Diaco?
Firing Riley might have given these kids a coach with some fire in him.How would firing Riley have made any difference?
Riley should have been fired after Ohio State. They should have fired Mike Riley after the Minnesota game. Many called for it. Now look at the mess we are in today. Getting kicked in the mouth by Iowa. Such an embarrassment.
Riley should have been fired after Ohio State.
Would have made zero difference.
The fact that there are zero coaches on staff that could have even served as a serviceable interim is quite telling about Riley’s ability to attract decent assistants.
Before this year I would agree, but with the early signing date, it’s better to fire Riley before the season is over so recruits know where you stand. That way they can move on or stay committed. It’s better to get ahead of the game.Would have made zero difference.

That game was last year, I blacked out when Armstrong got hurt and told my wife not to wake me until we fire Riley.LaughingLaughingLaughingRiley should have been fired after Ohio State.
Good point. Shows how bad we really are to have not 1 coach able to interim.Would have made zero difference.

Firing a coach with a chance to go to a third straight bowl game would leave the players think that the administration had caused all of their problems. The players know who is responsible for that mess and will now accept the next staff with open arms. Firing people midseason looks like an adolescent childish move, not something a deep thinking, strategic AD would do.
If we wanted to do something that might help, we should have canned Diaco at half time of the Minnesota game.I don’t see it. Who are you putting in charge, crazy *** Diaco?
Put lil red in charge. Or any random fan. Maybe a cheerleader?I don’t see it. Who are you putting in charge, crazy *** Diaco?
Why would that make a difference? Does it really matter if they move on in October or move on in December? At best there is a chance that these recruits might stay if they see who the coach is.Before this year I would agree, but with the early signing date, it’s better to fire Riley before the season is over so recruits know where you stand. I think even that one black dude with the dreads who plays the wash board out in front of bodega’s on O would do better than Riley.I don’t see it. Who are you putting in charge, crazy *** Diaco?
Can I pick the cheerleader?Put lil red in charge. Or any random fan. Maybe a cheerleader?
