Interesting post. I had never heard of Kathy Ruemmler but your post prompted me to Google her name. Linked below is an article that came up as a result. She appears to have had a host of phone calls with Epstein and exchanged a number of posts with him. She also appears to have given Epstein some legal advice on what she describes as an "informal" basis since he never actually retained her. He did give her a Hermes bag, a Fendi purse and coat, and some flowers;, gifts that she says she never solicited.

I imagine she now regrets ANY association with Epstein, whether it was considerable, minimal or otherwise. But she was and is a prominent white collar defense attorney who was based in New York, so it is not exactly shocking that he might have called her.
As concerns Obama, the following sentence from the above linked report merited a mention:
"Epstein and Ruemmler were introduced in 2014, not long after Ruemmler left the White House."
So it appears that she had already ceased working for Obama when she first met Epstein.
You know Bear, there are going to be a ton of stories like this where people who knew Epstein or did business with him are "called out" just for that, and who now say "I regret my relationship" or something in that vein.
