The atmosphere in the stadium was very good, But we felt let down by the defense so many times. So many 3rd and longs given up.

Seemed maybe 1/2 full to me. And it also seemed like 1/2 the crowd was USC fans. I sit on visitor side of stadium so maybe that influences my perception.

Also felt like a morgue most of the game while we were on defense. Felt like the noise level for USC was similar to when they are on offense at home. Our fan base is drained. Got up and loud a few times, but overall pretty dead.

I think they listed it at 43K

obviously it was way less and there had to be well over 5K usc fans maybe 7K

I would say peak there was probably 35K in the building...many here thought there would only be 25K

the atmosphere was poor because fans didnt believe and many left when the game was really in reach

The tailgating was excellent and we actually stayed for the whole game. Most of us thought we’d be back out before halftime

We’ll have to disagree. The defender read it the whole way. He is Wimsatt without the run threat.
it's not like we haven't run that exact play already so of course any defender that studied the film will be there. agree, Lonergan looked the whole way but if Houston runs the right route, it's a non issue as it's away from the interior defender and quick. on Houston, it's a timing play and you have to trust he's making the move there and especially that close to the goal line

Look, I think our QB situation is a disaster but people are unfairly hard on Lonergan because they are so upset at AJ sucking. I mean, we had comments like 'his dad is a coach so he will be good'

lol

It was Lonergan. He stared down the WR and threw way behind him.
No way he was that far off on a pass with a clean pocket. Had to be a miscommunication on the route. The ball was literally thrown in the opposite direction of where the route was run.

Brutal aerials of stadium vs #12 team as you could see plenty of empty seats up top and end zone. Factor in large USC fan base attending, it’s even worse how few RU fans shaped up, but I get it. Been a bad season.
