All of these should happen in the next 5 years and here are my thoughts:

Duke- They make a play for Brad Stevens,but when he says no Scheyer gets it over Capel.

UNC- Hubert Davis.

Geno- Carla Berube.

MSU- Mark Montgomery.

Cuse- Cooley over Hopkins.

Duke has a lot of former players coaching that would get consideration. Just off the the top of my head. Amaker, Woj, Collins, Bobby Hurley, Dawkins along with Capel. Not sure how Scheyer gets to the front of that line.

At duke , it’s gonna be whoever coach k wants . Assuming he is leaving on his own terms . Cooley at Syracuse ? He hasn’t exactly lit it up at providence.

I still think Izzo and coach k got gas in the tank

Also if putting a 5 year window on these, then replacing Roy Williams at UNC might also be in play. You have to wonder how many more years Boeheim hangs around. Not sure what class his son is in but they might go out together. Finally Kansas and Arizona might be the next marquee jobs available if the NCAA finally does something. I can see someone like Brad Underwood or Rick Barnes being interested in Kansas.

I don't know the Cooley/Syracuse connection other than "good coach entrenched in the same part of the country" but he is a great coach and has done very well at Providence. That was a dying program when he took over and he's brought them to, maybe not Pitino or Gillen levels of success, but early Welsh levels. They should be trying to keep him forever.

As a Duke Fan, I always thought WOJO would be first one to replace Coach K. Dawkins is getting older, as is Amaker. They both are first options you could see K vouching for as his heir apparent
