To go or not to go.....

I had plans to drive up to Omaha Sunday and watch State’s best shot at winning a Natty. It seemed like either Vandy or NC State’s pitching would be thin. We would be in the catbird seat. Vandy hasn’t been hitting great (neither have we.) I’m on the fence now. That’s a long drive to make by myself (wife can’t get anyone to cover shift) to watch Vandy with a weekend off to rest up take the first 2. Unreal. If we pitch Bednar tomorrow, he’s back Wednesday at the earliest I’m guessing. I don’t know if we can win 1 of the first two right now. Damn you NC State and damn you NCAA. And damn you Vandy. I’m sure Corbin was crybabying about “I don’t want my players around them. Don’t let them play with our ball, diddy.”

And if I do go, and we win game 1, then get “No contested” out of games 2 & 3 and the Natty goes to Vandy, I may have to take my return trip home through Indianapolis. I’m not sure how many glass windows are in the NCAA building, but I’ll bust out every single one before I drop some wolf bait on Mark E.‘s desk and burn that 17’er down.

Dude, you are overthinking it. If you want to come to Omaha, make the drive. It has been an up and down week for us (aren’t we MSU fans used to that at this point?). This city loves college baseball. They love us. We sat with some locals tonight who were cheering for us harder than we were. If you have the time off work, family, and life to come, then do it. Don’t second guess yourself. This is my first time here and it has been fantastic. Everything else in life can wait for a few days.

Dude… I just sat through a 3 hour rain delay with two young kids to watch us have the chance at a second 3-run comeback at 1am in the morning. Quit being a pansy and get your *** up here to support this team.

I got here yesterday and will say this
It sucked to lose but was an amazing atmosphere. People like us and they don't like texas or vandy. It's worth the experience... would be better without 11 walks.

Once I finally went, I realized how cool it was that Omaha was the ultimate prize in the sport we are best at. It is full of our kind of people and that new stadium makes it a great experience.
