Charles said they weren't down, they are DEAD!

Chuck said no, no they are flatlined. And followed that up with "love you John".

Our best chance of Cal getting this ship upright again is his ego not being able to handle the humiliation of being made fun of on national TV by people like Barkley whose words carry weight.

Why? Because everyone knows Charles tells it like it is and doesn't worry about political correctness.

Of course he's talking smack. That's what players from other teams do. He knows that UK will be back, he's gotta take his shots when he can.

Sir Charles just butthurt cause his Auburn boys couldn't participate in the post season this yr because of a self imposed probation.

UK already has 7 locked up that will beat Auburn next yr you big goof.

I got that. But as thin skinned as Cal is about defending his coaching and culture, how do you think he will take that whole crew Laughing out loud at Chuck's comments about Cal and UK?

Heck, Cal can't deal with basketball Bennies questioning anything he does, let alone a crew of professionals.

You could be right. Below the belt might not be the right choice of words.
But Chuck certainly hit Cal where it hurts, whatever that location might be.

Cal will just categorize this as one of the people enjoying UK having a down year and piling on.

There isn't a talking head in the nation that is going to tell Cal anything he doesn't already know.

He has coached the worse season in the history of Kentucky Basketball.

And its very possible that next year will be almost that bad.

I doubt anything any sports person has to say is going to register with Cal.

If there's one thing Cal has definitively proven over the years it's that he has a tin ear for any criticism (even though he professes not to)...

The guys on-set were yukking it up, sure, but I highly doubt Cal was laughing with them from his La-z-boy. 😅

Exactly. Sir Charles has no filter and calls it like he sees it. His comment both hurt me and made me laugh at the same time if that makes any sense.

He didn't hit him below the belt, he hit him right in the nose. Cals system depends on getting the best of the best, and that probably is not going to happen anymore, as the other blue bloods are going to get some if not most, even if they have to compensate them. See Zion Williamson etc.

Most of the TNT crew don’t watch college basketball all year or keep up with it & im suppose to listen to what they think 😂

Sadly enough, I don’t think all the motivation in the world will make Cal switch up his defenses from time to time, play multiple shooters together, run better offensive sets, quit dribbling the air out of the ball when up 8 towards the end of games, quit making big men always play back to the basket, quit playing 2 big men together at all times, etc. etc. etc.

He is who he is and as much as I didn’t want to believe the stereotype, the man simply is not a good basketball coach. It is what it is. Have to agree with Charles on this one.
