Think it would be really hard to schedule a series this late unless another school scheduled to play is having same Covid issues with a team.
Yep. Kent State and West Virginia's series this weekend was postponed for similar reasons.

Ironically, Kent State and Tennessee Tech played each other this past weekend.

And Kent State beat them to sleep for three days. Not sure if the Flashes are good or if TN Tech is just that bad. Sounds like we didnt have much to gain from playing TN Tech resume-wise anyway.
Is it internal COVID issues at Tenn Tech or is it related to Reeves lifting mask mandate yesterday? The timing just seems odd.. I am a little worried that could cause some issues for both of us, especially for schools looking for a cop out.
TN doesn't have a mask mandate. I doubt a team from a state with no mask mandate would object to going to another state with no mask mandate.
Texas is not the first state to lift its statewide mandates on masking. According to the AARP, the following states also do not have face mask orders in place:
- Alaska
- Arizona
- Florida
- Georgia
- Idaho
- Iowa
- Mississippi
- Missouri
- Montana
- Nebraska
- North Dakota
- Oklahoma
- South Carolina
- South Dakota
- Tennessee
We will get somebody. We scheduled Western Carolina in 2014 with like a day's notice. For opening weekend.

The news has become so ridiculous I don’t follow it much. But one would sure think after the reactions from yesterday that Texas and MS were the first to do it. Which I guess reinforces my point on the media.
You’re right, but it was a legit question. I was in no way attempting to spread a conspiracy, although I may have inadvertently done so. I honestly didn’t realize Tennessee didn’t have a mask mandate. The timing was so strange that I thought there was a chance they could be virtue signaling in order to avoid the likely *** whipping they had coming. Nothing more, nothing less.
Not gonna lie, reading you dismiss their baseball team brought back fond memories.

Tenn Tech team has been to Ohio (@Kent State) and Tenn. Has zero relationship to Mississippi lifting mask mandate! Team didn't even come close to the state line.
