I'm assuming that this is what we will wear against Kentucky? Also- what is the significance for honoring the TK Martin center? Is it an anniversary or to raise awareness for TK Martin? It's a great place that does great things and I'm just curious.

I have several friends who's families have been impacted by the good work the TK Martin Center does. Dak has been able to fund raise a lot of money for them lately. I think without Dak's help, they would have to shut the doors. That what I heard a couple years ago anyway.

Just a small rant here.When is a State football coach going to learn that we don't want any influence on our uniforms and helmets from a school you were formerly at!Croom did this and now we have the Penn State stripe on the helmet with Moorhead here.

You realize that there are a ton of football programs that wear a stripe on their helmet? That's not just a Penn State thing. If he wanted to copy Penn State then we'd make our uniforms as plain as possible and remove the nameplates from the back of the jerseys. I'll agree with you on Croom trying to make us a discount brand Alabama, but I feel like you're reaching on the Moorhead/Penn State thing. We don't even wear the striped helmet in all of our games. Our white helmets have no stripe and neither do the traditional glossed maroon helmets. The stripe is only on the matte maroon, and it actually looks really good with the grey face masks.

This just shows why the uniforms are a good idea. The TK Martin center was hyped up as a big deal when I went to state and pretty sure it was talked about by road runners and at orientation. I guess they've gotten away from it a little bit if we have fans that don't know what it is, but it's an awesome thing to promote, not only b/c of the feel good nature and the benefits it provides to people with disabilities but also because as an engineering school, it is a cool example of how students might put their degree to work in applied engineering.

I also have a son who attended TKM for two years. Never heard of TK Martin and lived in Starkville for almost 20 years. It is an amazing place with amazing people who work there, but is was very underfunded until just recently when Pres. Keenam and later Dak started getting involved and seeing what potential this place has.

When Cohen was talking about uniforms last season he said each coach puts a little touch on the uniforms each year and made the comment that the stripe came from Moorhead.I'll have to go back and find the story but it was a comment he made to the media.It's pretty safe to assume where Moorhead got the love for the stripe from.We wore them in seven games ,so they were pretty prominent last season.Just a small rant on something that just doesn't look good.

It looks good for a black uniform, but what's the purpose of all the detail (like the stripe with computer circuit board detail on it) that you can't see more than 10 feet away? You certainly can't see it from the stands.

Why the 17 can’t we just wear Maroon and White ?
its not that difficult.
The tribute to Sonny Montgomery last year was awesome and wish I had the
one of those helmets but damn!
All black, Egg Bowl gold BS, this TK Martin BS , just too much!

Don't you know, gotta have that "swag"in order to recruit. That and some extra "love" from the coaches every day.

I mostly agree with you, but its one game a year we wear black and Adidas has actually been pretty good to us with some good special uniforms the last few years. I can live with that. And the gold for the Battle for the Golden Egg is awesome when it's understated like this year and a couple of the early ones.

People who get all upset over uniforms are ridiculous. I wouldn’t care if we wore black uniforms with an actual picture of Tee Martin on the back if we could win 10 games a year and occasionally beat Bama and LSU.
