You are too clueless to help. Sheep sheep go baaaaaaaaStarted with FOX, and there is still solid press out there, even in the US - despite what your beacon of integrity tells you to think - spoonfed
Not a fan of roads and fire departments then? Public schools are out?

That’s good Dave, sheep do go baaaaa. Now what sound does a horsey make? You are too clueless to help. Sheep sheep go baaaaaaaa
All should be handled by the states and they are...Need to get rid of the NEA, fire departments should be local and funded locally. Also SS and Medicare is here to stay, and FEMA is a needed department. Federal highways also.
The federal gov. can continue to hand out grants to fill the gaps which is exactly what is happening.
Ok, so we are saying that all media throughout time has been biased then? Got it.Started with Fox?
Hahahha was Fox around with the NYT was whitewashing the holocaust as it was happening? Do we want to talk about the print news of the Revolutionary War era?
Fox is bad to all of you because they actually hold liberals and the liberal agenda in check. Period.
I’m not saying they aren’t running an agenda. They certainly report with a conservative viewing audience in mind. No one pretends they don’t.Ok, so we are saying that all media throughout time has been biased then? Got it.
How often did FOX dog big O for playing golf? The “war on Christmas”? The “war on men”? Nah, they ain’t running an agenda are they? Pffft
I will say this first — I don’t watch my news, so that might skew my view — but CNN does a decent job of reporting, imo. Yes, their choice of what to run is tailored for a liberal, but they are good at making sure counter points are covered. MSNBC is trash, imo, HuffPost is as biased as anyone obviously. But publications “on the left” are better than you give them credit for, imo.I’m not saying they aren’t running an agenda. They certainly report with a conservative viewing audience in mind. You all pretend the others are down the middle as opposed to pandering to liberal audiences. And they all are pandering with some of them outright planking further left than Fox is leaning right.

Right wing publications are all very biased. WSJ is pretty good, imo.
The Hill and the Guardian are my favorite go tos.
So state socialism is good then? In the end everything is publicly funded and benefits dispersed, you pay if you use them or not.
There are clear ways to do all of those things in a purely capitalist way, but they aren't the options you are going with.
You want to ban teacher unions?

We have an advanced economy and one of the largest geographic footprints in the world. We need a strong federal gov. that is limited in scope. We have what we have and that will never change. Once an entitlement is given, it is never taken away, so I will be vocal about not expanding these gov. run SOCIALIST programs. That is the best we can do, control the spending and narrow the scope. Everything I mentioned is here to stay and I am fine with it.
Our generation now wants to socialize healthcare, college and who knows what else. I am against all of it! Our healthcare system is already heavily influenced by the federal gov. The whole opioid epidemic was caused by gov. intervention. We are too big to run a national healthcare system, we suck at it!
Yes, teachers unions need to be banned yesterday. They serve no purpose in society and they do not make our schools stronger. And yes, most of my high school classmates are now school teachers or in Administration and I am honest with them about my stance.
The avg. teacher where my kids went to school (my youngest just graduated from high school) makes $100,000 a year (highest salaries in the state of PA- 85% have a masters and some have Phds) and have unbelievable health benefits. The school is ranked top 5 in the state, and top 400 nationally, so they are winning!
They have been trying to negotiate a better deal for the last two years. I am not sure what they called it, but basically, they could only work during school hours which meant that the kids could not get additional help if needed. After school activities (except sports and arts) had to be completed while they are supposed to be at school. When my daughter asked for some additional help in one of her AP classes they simply refused saying that the union did not allow them to stay after school and help the kids. Other kids were impacted worse. With my other two kids, they were available after school every day. They went the extra mile and everyone was happy. They walked on water in the community. They were a top performing school, putting kids in the IVY's and winning at sports, the Arts, and academic competitions. They will win the battle ( a little more money) but lost the war. The community has soured on them.

Unpossible!!! The ACA fixed it.Our healthcare system is already failing.
Unpossible!!! The ACA fixed it.
That **** was failing at a cyclic rate before the repeal of the individual mandate. GTFOHOh, you guys did a good job of breaking it.
Our healthcare system is already failing. And no, the opioid problem comes from the Sackler family and Purdue Pharma producing opioid medications that they knew were highly addictive and then aggressively marketing these products as miracle drugs and bribing dr's to prescribe them widely. They not only knew of the addictive qualities, they counted on them to sustain their sales. They also knew it was going to kill people, but profits were much more important.
Oh, and how dare the overqualified teachers who made your kids school one of the most successful in the country want to spend their evenings with their families.
This should be a good lesson. Nobody at those Ivy league schools or in the real world is going to give up their own time to help them figure anything out.
The Sackler family, as well as other pharma companies bought congress which forced CMS to incorporate the 5th Vital Sign initiative into the healthcare setting in the early 2000's. Here's a link to a healthcare based journal...

I was there in KY/WV/OH/IN/IL when it happened. My team sold pain meds, I was at ground zero. We sold fentanyl and Tramadol. Tramadol at the time was a non scheduled drug and we positioned it to physicians as an alternative to writing narcotics for those patients who were known drug seekers or who complained of non specific pain. It was not 6 months that patients caught on and became allergic to it, next stop, opioids. Tramadol does not give you the euphoric feeling that narcotics do.
Fentanyl on the other hand was a different animal. We only positioned it for hospice care and was very specific about it's use. Once drug addicts found out that they could steal the patch from their dying grandmother, freeze it, which forced the fentanyl to crystallize so that they could cut the patch open and use a razor to scrape it off and shoot up with it. I had to fly into Charleston once to address the fact two young adults died with the needle in their their arms using something we sold. I will never forget that day.
As far as teachers unions are concerned, I have no problem paying them what they are worth. My kids schools were top five in the state, they are paid accordingly. Why does a union need to be in place to accomplish that? Having grown up in WV and having most of high school friends in WV and teaching, they scared me with what they were posting on facebook when the strike was going on. A couple of my respected high school teachers were full blown anarchists during that time.
Both of my parents were in unions. My mother took me to a picket line when I was less than 10 years old. I guess I was a jr. labour thug! My father was a skilled laborer. He moved from job to job and worked for different companies throughout the year. His union kept his insurance in place and found him jobs when his job was completed. It still is like that today. My mothers union cost her her job (Marx Toys) and my fathers union made our life better. Teachers Unions resemble my mothers union and not my fathers.

Just more evidence of corporatism.
Post 186. That's who you are debating.More evidence of a corrupt gov, one that needs to be put in check at all times.
Yep, proves they were anarchists. nice find.

You spend way more time on socialist sites than I ever have. Didn't vote for Bernie either.
Hmm...

Hmm...
You have never stated your support for or against socialism, lots of other progressive socialists to vote for.
American Socialists, whose No. 1 goal is to control everybody with government, don't care about unions these days. Hell, Trump has done more for unions than Obama ever did.No.
What socialist would outlaw workers unions?
Did you even go to class while attending Marshall or did you just do drugs and hit the fat women in town?
Please answer this question Herdy
