Iowa has backed off him and now he’s on record wondering why Iowa won’t give him attention. This isn’t Iowa missing on a recruit. It’s by choice. Unlike some schools Iowa doesn’t offer literally anyone and everyone.

Fidone is another one that probably fits well with your culture . On record worried that the locker room is too full with talent at Iowa to get PT. That weak mentality that you can’t beat out the best is why he’s a better fit at a program scratching to get to 6 wins.
Should we bookmark these moronic posts claiming Fidone is afraid of competition for when he's clobbering yet another boring 7-5 Iowa team?

Yea, great players not welcome in iowa because their weakass coach cant get a homer fired up enough to have the player think he can be an early starter if he works his butt off.

Do you realize how weak this makes iowa look? How far off the target their thinking is?

in addition to this, they also had a nice run when our coaches (callahan, bo, riley) decided to completely ignore in-state talent.

several good players, some future pros from Millard North (Seth Olsen, Adam Shada, Jeff Tarpinian) went to iowa after winning multiple state titles in NE.

barney cotton once asked who Millard North was when Coach Petito introduced himself at an NU camp when the starting center went there. Coach never went back, and that was almost 20 years ago now. those 3 are idiots for shunning in-state talent, especially from a school that produced our last Heisman winner, and I'm so glad Coach Frost is righting those wrongs now.
Barney grew up in the old millard north, burke area in his day. Things change, it appears Barney never did

Fant was the second best TE on Iowa’s team at the time. He got the touches he deserved. They also had a QB who’s IQ wasn’t the best which led to missed opportunities and I’m happy to admit that.

For Christ sake Brian ran a 2 TE offense and Iowa needed help a receiver 2 years ago regardless of what Stanley IQ was..

Bollers- Word around here (IC) is the he wants to go to Bama if offered. So be it. Kid is a freak of an athlete but kind of a head case.

Fidone- Wouldn't be surprised at all if Nebraska got him. Neb is obviously making him a priority and he grew up a Neb fan. Iowa TE room is going to be loaded and if wants to play right away Nebraska is probably the option for him. Hard to deny the results that Iowa has had with the TE spot and I am sure Iowa wants him but you cant get everyone. If I was Nebraska, I would be more worried about the Bama, Georgia, LSU offers.

Side note to the poster bringing up Fant/Iowa tension- I am sure he is just fine being a first round draft pick and millionaire. He was sharing time with a top 10 NFL pick and there is only 1 football.

Iowa backed off Bollers like I backed off Charlize Theron. I didn't want her anyway.... spin, spin, spin.

If you make too many offers, itll break iowa. The ferentz kids better be careful, their allotment of offers is wearing thin.
