Does Duke catch UK before UK catches ucla?...I'm saying yes with the looks of recruiting and depending on how much longer K stays around.

Why trashed...can't we just have a conversation about it. It's about opinion.

I'm not going to, just guessing this won't go well lol.

I would say no, because K is old as dirt and proved he can't coach as well in the 1 and done era.

If he gets Bagley cleared he may have a chance from pure cheating. From being not eligible for college to getting into Duke. Oh please [eyeroll]

See that was easy enough!

Go to Vegas and put money on it then.

The shortest time frame K has ever won 3 titles is 11 years. He actually has 3 in the past quarter century, if you want to get technical.

But now, in his 70s, he's going to win 3 how quickly? While we blank?

Yeah. You seem like quite a Cats fan.

What does the question have to do with fandom?

So lemme get this straight OP... You're honestly saying you think dook wins 3 more championships before we win another one?

And somehow pulls this off in the maybe 5 years before K's old *** retires?

[roll]

U trolling or nah?
Where did you get 3 before we win another? We are 3 behind ucla. They are 3 behind us.

Someone had a great post in another thread about how long K has been at Duke vs. how long Cal has been at UK. Give Cal that time at UK, he surpasses K's total imo.

Now Cal doesn't have that much time left so he'll never reach that amount of time at UK and we also have the Higgins effect to factor in so...

Duke has twice as many titles as us since Cal got here. Looks like they will. We've had the most talent how many times and come up snake eyes? Way, way too many.

So the narrative that Coach K is kicking Cal's rear on recruit trail but UK has had more talent does exactly mesh. Can't have it both ways.

Coach K has actually coached more McDonald's all-americans than any coach in NCAA history. He's had talent & failed 32 out of 37 seasons. But don't let facts derail your perception.

If Cal won 5 titles in 37 seasons at UK we & others would say he underachieved.

To be fair, I wouldn't say he's underachieved. Winning the Title is a tough nut to crack.

But there's no doubt that K has been prone to tourney dry spells.

The better question and more realistic one would be which guy would win a title sooner? Give me Cal because I see the K track record. Saying that, K is supposed to win this year since he has garnered so much more talent, wo we'll see how that goes.
Still hear Bilas stating that Duke should have been a 1 seed last year. Ridiculous projections.

I've always found it odd that you have to be a homer to be considered a true fan.

I literally get sick when we lose, but I try to be objective when analyzing things.

I probably lean toward expecting the worst, because it's SO painful when my expectations (2015) are not fulfilled.

No matter HOW you cope as a UK fan, I have no problem with you.

Now the people who POSE as UK fans in order to stir the pot...

That's a different story!!

What if Duke flames out again this year and then things fall like we expect and the Cats get number 9 next year? Is a then 72 year old Coach K winning four more titles?

Or do we only count hypotheticals based on the last two weeks? Cause in May it was hilarious that Duke flamed out with a loaded team and Cal beat him for Kevin Knox.

But I guess because they're the only school who could get Bagley eligible and Cam Reddish chose Duke, he'll rattle off three before Kentucky gets another.

I, too, predict it will rain for the next four years because it's raining today and rained yesterday.

Technically, he's asking if it's more likely that Duke wins titles at a greater clip than we do. Duke could win, say, 4 more while we win 1 more during a stretch and catch us.

Doesn't have to mean they win 3 while we win 0.

I say they don't catch us simply because K is too old and they simply won't be the same when he hangs it up.

I doubt that Duke catches us before K retires, but they are definitely turning up the recruiting heat for a stretch run in Rat face's career.

This. I mean I get what others are saying kinda , but cmon ... pretend Cal has been at UK for 30 plus years ? Pretty sure he'd have a few more titles.

It doesn't seem fair to compare a 30 plus year body of work at Duke to 9 year body of work with Cal at UK

I doubt it, but they'll probably continue to have more titles than UK during just about every poster here's life time. Meaning you need to be 60+ just to have seen a tie and 50% of people over 65 don't use the internet

Yet there are those on here who claim we are winning it every year and we are catching I'm a in a short period of time...1/8 that's about a little over 12%. K 37 yrs with 5 titles...that is about 13.5 so from a mathematical standpoint it is close.
