I'm completely fine with what it's done for women's sports. The negative part that's being enforced more in recent years is the attack on young men that could easily get them kicked out of school and ruin their life on nothing more than a false accusation.

There is only 1 side of the aisle that has pushed that.

The original intent was good...allow more females the opportunity to participate in college athletics. Male and female scholarships had to be (roughly) equal. As with most legislation and government edicts this went south fast. Most colleges soon found out they couldn't afford to add more female non revenue sports. The answer was to simply cut male programs. That basically led to a loss of male scholarships and only a slight gain in female ones. The real tragedy came when the feminazis got ahold of it and blew it up and expanded it way beyond its intended purpose. I guess I have mixed emotions on whether it needs to go or not. Both my kids (one boy, one girl) went to school on athletic scholarships. For that I am thankful. However the way it is applied now is a complete travesty.

Well ...

It's like the STEM argument.

"mean people in the patriarchy keeping women out of STEM fields"

NOPE! Men and women have different interests and competencies. Title 9 wasn't grass roots. It was part of our long history of extremists imposing themselves on reasonable folk.
