Miles should get to finish the year. They’re still a NCAA tournament team at this time. If they flounder down the stretch, it could be time to end this but the season is far from over and Nebraska is still positioned to make the tournament despite the doomsdayers on the board.

I agree to him finishing the year, but what are you basing that they are a NCAA tournament team upon?

He'll finish the year, but this is not an NCAA tournament team, especially if Copeland is out. We'll be lucky to get a home game in the NIT at this rate.

You're probably right that they are an at-large team at this time, but it seems odd since they are really more of a .500 team when you take out the six marshmallows Doc, err I mean Miles scheduled this year.

And they are really fading fast. Five losses out of their last seven with really only the win at Indiana being anything that the kids could feel really good about.

I was hopeful that Miles could get over the hump this year take us to the sweet 16 as a 4 or 5 seed then leave us and allow for a better separation. Unfortunately looks like Tim will be getting his walking papers if things continue this way.

Too bad for us the key words are “At this time.” We are not dependable on the road, and all the sudden we are not dependable at home.

Since the decision on who is a tourney team is made in March, our tourney chances have moved to, “To be determined.”

In over his head. Enough already.
I don't think he will be before the season, if that is what you were implying? Anyone that thinks Miles is going to accomplish anything here is dreaming, and probably the same people that thought Riley was going to win championships. Let him finish the year out at least. Firing him now, serves no purpose. At this point I know many think we are making the tourney, I just don't see it. We have to get to 20 wins. The way they are looking they will be lucky to get 3 more wins. Maybe we can make a good run in the NIT. That will not be enough to save his job. Miles is done, barring a miracle run and a couple wins in the tourney.

It'll be much like last year if we don't make Tourney. They won't be motivated and get trounced early in NIT.

Not to defend Miles, but the stat that sums up this team’s problem was put on the screen in the 1st half. Nebraska is 347th out of 353 in bench minutes.

You can not succeed at this level having to depend that much on your starting 5. I fear our starters are in the process of running out of gas, and the record will show that.

They don't seem all that motivated now. Palmer seems like he's checked out, Thomas Allen can't make an outside shot anymore, and our bench is awful. Watson is the only one who looks like he cares, but again he's having issues with the bigger physical guards in the Big Ten.

Isnt Miles in charge of filling out the roster?

Every bracketology. Bilas called Nebraska the 23rd best team and a threat to make it to the second weekend if they rebound better.

Everyone is upset with the performance the last two games. But this isn’t football. Two games is nothing in basketball. Nebraska needs to regroup and win some games. Their season is far from lost. It will be harder without Copeland but everything is still there for this team.

I just don’t see this team making the NCAA tourney this year. I would guess that they would need to go 8-3 in the last 11 and I just don’t see it happening. 7-4 at worst.

Sad to see one of my Husker brethren being so delusional. Snap out of it, man..

I'm more upset with the entire season, actually, almost all of Miles's entire tenure. They have also won 2 of their last 7 and look like a team on the brink. I've seen nothing to suggest they turn this around. I'm not sure when Bilas said this and what Bracketology will say by Monday AM. I also see an RPI of 54 that I'm guessing will continue to trend downward. I feel like He has had enough time and a change is necessary at the end of the season.

Where am I wrong? I’m not saying I’m confident they win enough down the stretch to make it. I’m saying based on current resume, they’re in if it started today. Disagree?

Current resume? Can you tell me what game they have won this season against a team with a pulse? I cannot think of a victory against a team that has less than 8 losses.

Blows my mind how clueless Nebraska basketball fans are. Lunardi has us as a 8 seed before today. We were a 5 before the Rutgers loss! Bilas sees Nebraska as a top 25 team before the loss today. We have wins vs Clemson, creighton, seton hall and Indiana. That’s an ncaa resume at this point.

All the naysayers....provide me with analyst level evidence Nebraska isn’t a tournament team to this point. Show me someone that has a bracket where Nebraska is out. If they finish terribly, that’s different. But if they can get to 18-20 wins, I think they’re in based on strength of schedule and quality wins.

With Cope out, the only chance that we have now is if Allen comes alive and starts shooting in the flow and if Roby finally becomes THE MAN.

Technically he's right. OSU was ranked just a few weeks ago and has some nice wins but things are clearly going the wrong way for NU. It is still possible for us to salvage the season but we looked terrible today. Maybe Cope's injury rallies the team together but if it doesn't you're right.

As it sits today we're technically still in the hunt for a bid but let's be real, this team is a mess. One of our top players is out, the team is soft and playing with absolutely no confidence now and our coach is clueless on how to fix things after 7 years. I love your optimism but c'mon man. What do you REALLY see in your crystal ball?

Miles SUCKS, maybe next year, eh sport? I wish i could fiddle fk around here with 10,000 posts and say nothing

You obviously haven’t seen enough of mine fiddle fking to know where I have stood regarding Miles for a few years.
