It’s way more about the combinations that are In the game at a given time than who starts. I don’t like Mathis and Young in at the same time. Yet we do it regardless of the team we are playing, the matchups or the circumstances. I still
Like staring Omoruyi because it lessens the risk of early foul trouble for Johnson and it lessens the chance of having Young, Mathis, and Omoruyi on the court at the same time.

Every game is different. Maryland’s small ball line up made us too slow with both RHJ and MJ or Cliff. Today. As in, against today’s line ups, despite the complaining about Tez and all his mistakes, we were most effective with him at the 3, Caleb at the 4 and JY running the point. Didn’t matter whether Geo or Paul were in and didn’t matter that much who the big was outside the first few minutes.

Doesn't matter who starts. They all can be wildly inconsistent in a five minute stretch. Minutes needs to be earned. I wish there was someone currently not in the rotation who would push for some significant PT.

The issue of who starts really doesn't matter because there are too many non scorers on the court.Young definitely deserves to start based on performance.Baker and Harper are captains and are supposed to be the leading scorers which isn't happening right now.Picking names out of a hat might be the answer because the team really needs a jolt of energy.

Cliff plays no defense and does not rebound well.

JY deserves to Start! We need to start off Fast.
Harper needs to sit and come off the bench.

Thoughts?
Initial thoughts YES. Second thought just get Jacob in based solely on his effort.

we need Ron and Geo to be the players they can be. Cut their minutes YES. Take their starting jobs NOt YEt

Cliff & Myles at same time is not a bad idea..in offensive sets could free one of them up for easy dunk. Cliff’s defense needs work, but is improving, and his blocks show a very promising future. That dunk today, is also sign of things to come. I think playing D with Myles will also help him..If opponents 3s are going to be open with our guards collapsing, why not have 2 bigs in for an easier defensive board.

I don’t care who you put out there, we don’t run an offense
Can people please stop repeating this nonsense!

we 100% run an offense. It is the PLAYERS who aren’t executing it properly by:

1) not moving away from the ball
2) overcrowding
3) poor confidence in shot selection
4) forced 1:1

all of the above makes it look out of sorts but we def run an offense

Doesn’t matter if it doesn’t look like one

Yes. And also Pike allows too much iso's in his offense and these kids don't know how to handle it and start playing hero ball. That in itself should be taken away because IMO it's killing us.
