Looks like a no from Drew and Hurley. Why wait? Will need to go to lower tier candidates if Billy says no.

Donovan needs to get the call that if he wants it it’s his. The timing isn’t even that bad. He’s going to be fired in Chicago but even if not now, by mid next season he will. If he doesn’t have any guarantees about another NBA come on? He’s making 6 million per year in Chicago we can double that. He’d have way more security here on a contract than the NBA. He’s young enough still, and has ties here. He’s a legend and it’s the perfect program for him.

Donovan is a no brainer right now. The ONLY issue is timing in the immediate. But we can overlook it for 1 year and get on track. Hell, just knowing he’s coming would get great recruits here until he’s here.

Billy should resign from the bulls. Take the UK job win titles at two different programs and go down one of THE legends. I don’t get his infatuation with the NBA, NOBODY CARES about him there and he’s not even considered a decent hire. Why would you want that?

Call Billy and throw 12 million at him over 7 years. He’d probably have to take it. Tell’m he can have as long as he wants, but we need the guarantee in ink. I’m telling everyone who didn’t want Drew, I think you’re going to regret it when that team which would have been ours is in the final four bext year. It’s STUPID to want that turned down. The guy would kill it at UK.

Yeah good thing Donovan has been coaching in the best basketball league in the world for 10 years.
at a .500 clip, .413 in the playoffs, and with no hardware (other than coach of the year in 19-20) to show for it.

Well Hurley has definitely said no....multiple times on national television now. And we know that Barnhart wouldn't have started to talk with Drew until he talked to Hurley.
Is this your first coaching search?

He took the thunder to the playoffs every year he was there
and minus 15-16 had a losing record and 1st round exits once there (playoff record is the last three columns on the right)

We don’t know that.
Yes we do. It has already been reported by people that Hurley was offered 11 million. Now there is way too much smoke around Barnhart and Drew talking to each other. I don't see any reasonable explanation to why UK would start talking to Drew if Hurley hasn't already told them no.

If it is Donovan, we cannot wait on the NBA season. By the time he gets here, nobody will be left to get.

Can’t Billy take the job and announce effective his last game with the Bulls this season? Has to be a way without wasting precious time.
