Fire Moos, bring in Joe Moglia as A.D. to right the ship. If anyone can fix the culture here, it would be Moglia.
The future AD is already on campus. His name is John Cook.
I don't know about John Cook. How much does he know about football and basketball? I'm hoping those are our two major sports in the future and we don't turn into a volleyball school. That's my feeling as well. John Cook is the only man in the state of Nebraska who knows how to run a program at national championship level, recruit the type of talent necessary, and keep it going through multiple coaching changes. Unlike football, where Frank Solich got his first head coaching job without an interview, the volleyball transition from Terry Pettit to John Cook was a textbook example of maintaining momentum through a major transition. And Cook's successor Tyler Hildebrand, hired away from volleyball power Long Beach State, is already on campus working with the team.
Tom Osborne might be the only other person like that within Nebraska's borders, but he's 83 years old and retired. As athletic director he clearly didn't have the energy he once exhibited, and that's not a criticism. I'll be lucky to be above ground at that age.

Pelini beat most of the cupcakes and got annihilated in anything that was remotely a big game. His defenses were atrocious. Our bar isn’t just to beat Minnesota, Illinois, Purdue, and Iowa.
Sure, we’ve sucked even worse since him, but that doesn’t change the fact that I’d never trade it back for Bo. Would rather continue marching on till we figure it out.
Don’t forget, he went 16-18 in his final three years at Youngstown State. He can’t even handle being an effective coordinator anymore.
I remember a lot of fans, including me thinking Nebraska should do a national search to get the best coach available instead of Solich. The concern was he had never been a head coach and his demeanor didn't seem to inspire a lot of confidence. I was disappointed in the man I thought Osborne was by going around the AD the way he did to appoint Frank. And anyway, Solich was "encouraged" to keep assistants and there was the scandal with Bohl so he had tough sledding from the start. If he had been given some more time, things may have turned out alright and we wouldn't even be having this conversation.Fans insisted Tom Osborne's hand-picked successor Frank Solich be hired as head coach.
Fans insisted Steve Pederson be hired as athletic director.
Fans insisted Bo Pelini be hired as head coach.
Fans insisted Scott Frost be hired as head coach.
The first rule of running a football program should be "don't listen to fans."
What a ridiculous statement.
Any 9 win Pelini team is better than what we have with Frost. Sadly most here would disagree with me on this.
And I’m not a Boliever
Completely agree. At least you could take some pride in those teams. It's just flat out embarrassing how bad we've been the last 6 years.Any 9 win Pelini team is better than what we have with Frost. Sadly most here would disagree with me on this.

if you're serious....RollingLaughSays Frost is in so long as he's here. Okay, buh bye. What do you all think? Fire Moos, new ad maybe gives Frost one more season to prove something? Something's gotta give...
I think he’s more polarizing than Callahan or Riley. That means he gets talked about more. Riley would definitely be the most bashed if people felt he was worth the time of day to even discuss.I don’t want him back either and think it was time for him to go. But I don’t get why we bash him more than any coach we have had in 20 years and he was by far our most successful.
