Thoughts on a time table of when Miles will be fired? Right after the first loss in the BIG10 I am going to assume. So on Wednesday? Maybe Thursday? Would there be any reason to wait longer? Like I said earlier Moos has had a good month to 6 weeks to go coach hunting. I am assuming he has a guy lined up ready to go.

He fired Riley the day after the last game, so I'd expect the same with Miles. If we lose Wednesday, he'll be fired Thursday.

Nebraska could upset Iowa tomorrow and get blown out by Penn St 16-16 could still qualify you for the NIT, but I don’t think Moos is interested in this team playing in the NIT...

I will throw a name out there Eric Musselman current coach of Nevada and a former NBA and CBA head coach.
His name has been discussed in numerous other threads.... great coach but more than likely will stay out west. I would definitely call and inquire though. Just my opinion which is not that much, but seems like a west coast guy to me and someone to watch out for at UCLA or any other big time job out west.
Nebraska going to the NIT seems pointless if going to make a change. I would think they have to be better than 16-16 to get invited anyway. Miles being fired is because of his overall body of work in 7 years being a .500 coach and .400 in conference coach.
Moos will be in California this weekend. So unless he fires him over the phone, it looks like Miles is safe until Monday.

I just think that Moos has already made up his mind. There is NO reason that Oregon should be extending Altman through 2025-26 unless someone is pursuing him. Very odd timing to have two names mentioned as possible replacements for Miles to get extensions during their conference tournaments (Altman & Oats). I just think that back channel convos have been taking place and Oregon and Buffalo has to lock up their guys before things got to far along.
I would be super jacked if we were able to get Kelvin Sampson to come here. Baggage.... I dont care. He has won everywhere he has been and can win at Nebraska also. I had a chance to listen to him speak at a coaching clinic in Lincoln years ago and his energy and basketball mind was absolutely stunning! Dude knows basketball and how to win. Period.
