As long as Tyson was in the Cus D'Amato camp he was incredible. Unfortunately Robin Givens and Don King convinced him to leave Kevin Rooney and we saw the results.
D'Amato and Rooney taught him an unusual boxing style that suited his talents perfectly. I remember a reporter asking one of his early knockout victims how hard Tyson hit. He said, "He knocked the taste out of my mouth!"
Did Tyson really get a fake rape charge because he threw the Buster Douglas fight....

I dont know about that, but I was always suspicious if that particular incident.
Buzzfeed just made a mystery style show based on sports conspiracies...mj' retirement, and the frozen nba draft ewing envelope were 2 of them.

Mike Tyson is probably the last great heavyweight champ in terms of celebrity.
I know Evander Holyfield has somewhat of a name but it is no where close to Tyson.
Didn't Foreman have a few seconds as a champion as well after in the 1990s.
Foreman is and always will be my favorite because he is from my hometown of Marshall, TX.
He will be the last super star champ for sure....Holyfield and Lennox Lewis probably represent the end of the heavy weight era, in terms of prestige.
I know a guy who knows a guy who works for the cousin of a man in Bluefield that would knock out Mike Tyson. Not talking about Mike Tyson today but Mike Tyson from 1986.
