it's no secret so f it. if whoever doesn't want to coach UofL then this isn't going to change anyone's mind. we all know what Jurich and RP did and let go on so this isn't anything new to anyone.

I'll be damned if I'm giving it a click. Somebody needs to spell it out.

In a perfect world every media member that prints **** like this or sits in a little room talking crap about UofL on the radio should be banned from news conferences involving the university. Surely to hell there is someone at UofL that’s just as p!ssed about the local media coverage as most of the fan base is. Wouldn’t it be a dream job to stand at the door of media events beside that big velvet rope and look at people like Bozich and Sullivan and give them the “ get the F out of here” stink eye.

I think that’s a horrible idea. A public university should be open to public scrutiny even if it is from swarmy media members.

By the way, this is coming out now because UofL just released the records. When your own police dept says there was a criminal syndicate and yet that didn’t result in charges, it will raise some eyebrows.

Okay, now that everyone is finished insulting the media for more than likely reporting the news...is there anything here that was not reported to the NCAA, to Jurich or to Pitino that could strengthen or weaken their respective stands on the issues in play?

Sounds like the Louisville police department needs to answer some questions. Why weren't charges filed? McGee and Powell broke the law yet both skated.

It was up to the Commonwealth’s Attorney to file charges. According to the article, McGee’s attorney and the Commonwealth Attorney are very tight.

From what I read I don’t see anything that has much effect on Jurich or Pitino. One thing that was noted is that the “dances” continued after McGee left and were facilitated by another unnamed staff member (Brandon Williams?). That would somewhat refute Pitino’s notion that it was just McGee acting rogue. Also it said McGee had a bar in his room that was open to recruits on visits. It is reasonable to think other coaches would’ve known if that.

What I really want to know: What happened to the charges against Katina for stealing a damn tooth brush from WalMart a few months ago?

If you recall from her hand written list; it listed police as customers (did not mention any names). Makes one wonder.

Wasn't aware of who had to bring charges. IDK the law but it just seems weird to me that both McGee and Powell broke the law and got away with it scott free. As far as I know, neither were arrested or charged. That in itself should be investigated by whoever oversees this sort of stuff.

at best be terrible at management.
at worst they were complicit.
That's quite a broad brush you're wielding there. TJ's management led the athletics department from membership in the dregs of conferences into the ACC, has hired coaches that have won conference and national championships, signed athletes that were conference and national champions, won bcs bowl games, gone to multiple FF's, CWS', was responsible for the vision and securing the financial backing for unbelievable facilities and, basically upped UofL's national profile tenfold. You might want to revisit the definition of "terrible" - cause you clearly don't know what it means.
