Take your unearned millions and get on the road. We get it, you conned the yokels at UNL just like Mike Riley, with your "aw shucks, ain't that a hoot" act. We concede. Now just go and let us lick our wounds. Uncle.

Can’t tell you how many times I’ve heard quotes from Miles looking ahead. Tonight, announcer quoting Miles saying Nebraska needs 2 of next 4 games to get in tourney. What coach at any level gets quoted ‘looking ahead’? All you hear (from most ciaches) is focus on the task at hand, don’t look ahead. How can you expect players to maintain focus and not look ahead if the coach strays.

Also, something about if they could just beat one of the two Michigan schools, he thinks they’d be in. Laughing

This is kind of reminiscent of the Minnesota game in Riley's last year.
Getting destroyed by a terrible team on the road when everyone and their dog knows that the coach is dead man walking.
The only question is whether Miles will go to the podium and explain how he the program headed in the right direction just like smiles did

Maybe tomorrow he can go on another podcast and squeal about not getting an NCAA bid last year. Because that’s a great thing to focus on when you’re headed into an important stretch of games.

Yeah, I'm sure that if we somehow did get back on the bubble, the NCAA wouldn't hold all that whining against him.

A waste of 7 years and wasting the shine of a brand new facility.

But hey, he can tell jokes with the best of them.

How can any of this be better than terminating immediately? I see absolutely nothing to lose by turning it over to the assistants and naming one of them interim head coach.

There's a lot to lose. What happens if we turn it over to one of the assistants and he goes on to win 2 out of 4 of the last games? Then you've got a popular uprising wanting to retain the assistant from the fan base. We HAVE to clean house. Something is wrong with the way the coaches and players interact and the assistants are part of that. Time for a fresh start.

Don’t worry Nebraska isn’t going to win 2 out of 4 of their last 4 games in the first place..

I agree with this. Moos is just doing what he's promised all along, letting Miles hang himself and also avoiding a negative national perception that he didn't give Miles every chance to catch fire at the end of the season. Fired or retained, it won't be much longer now.
