Do you miss me yet guys? He's 7-8 right now with San Jose St. They were 14-16 last year and fired their head coach.

If he could have stayed off finishing in the bottom 4 in the conference except for 2 of his years he would still be here..

Tom's hires as AD are certainly looking better with time now aren't they? I still am not sorry we fired Bo. He crapped the bed with the fans. I'm not sure what to think about Miles. I was over him when we fired him. Now I guess I realize that he maybe got about all he could out of the guys he was able to recruit to NU. He might be a better coach than I thought but he's probably not a good enough recruiter. I thought Fred was a home run hire. Sigh.

Actually, San Jose State is 7-15. They've lost 10 in a row and are 0-10 in the Mountain West. So no, I'm not exactly longing for Tim Miles.

Not that anyone expected a big turnaround at SJSU. That job is almost as much of a coaching graveyard as Nebraska.

As long as we're yearning for coaches who are winless in conference play, maybe NU could lure Patrick Ewing away from Georgetown?

He's currently neck-and-neck with Hoiberg and Miles, pitching a shutout in the Big East.

Tim was fortunate to have really good assistants. Guys on his staff are now head coaches at Utah, Colorado State, Minnesota. Not a bad coaching tree. Fred had good assistants. In a lot of ways they made his program. Current staff....not so much.

Yeah, I wasn't implying that I wanted him back. Obviously SJSU story I pulled up wasn't current.

And the 2 good years he did have, he followed them up with 2 very disappointing seasons despite having the core of his team back both times. Miles was also pretty bad at developing/retaining high school recruits - with a few exceptions.

Um he's 0-10 in the Mountain West Conference right now lol. He's getting blown out almost every game, CSU and Fresno beat him by 30+, UNLV beat him by 25.

As bad as Hoiberg is, I don't miss Miles' schtick at all. He was a clown.

That's what's so damn funny (maddening, frustrating, crazy, dumb, idiotic, etc) about football and basketball at Nebraska.... I don't miss or regret ANYONE that has been fired here. Would I take Miles back over Hoiberg? Yes. Do I want him back? No.

Do you guys think the current NU bball team is the worst team in the programs history? I don't remember them being this bad but I don't follow that much.

I don't know about "ever" but in my scope of consciousness since the 80's I'd think they're solidly among the worst. I guess you always have to look at context but winless in conference is winless in conference.
