Fairly big golf story which even made the cover page of ESPN.com this morning.

If I'm not mistaken, Rory McElroy has been test driving TM sticks for awhile (though I don't know if he's officially committed to them yet). But for a reason I can't quite explain..... because it's obviously a perfectly legitimate brand......I found myself surprised to read in that same ESPN piece that Tiger had previously announced he was going to play Bridgestone balls.

I guess I'm sort-of assuming Titleist refused his number; and a ball-only contract wasn't something Callaway would have been interested. Besides, I suspect Callaway would have insisted a main shirt logo, which Tiger reserves for Nike.

Rory probably wants to make sure he will be coddled enough before he commits. Ugh. Dude just rubs me the wrong way. I mean, he got mad at the Olympics because he had to choose between playing for Ireland or the UK(Great Britain? England? I really don't get that deal over there come Olympics time). Boo hoo. So then he went he made up some ******** Zika excuse and bad mouthed the Olympics for the rest of the summer.

PS - I am not a fan. Sorry for the thread jack
