I can't understand why people would hate golf but I guess I don't like nascar and car racing stuff, so maybe it is the same.
I don't have the patience for it, although I admit it requires a great deal of skill to be good, along with a lot of work to get just a little bit better.

Id rather play an hour of tennis ($0) get in a good workout and then get back to my life.

Love playing tennis!

Pickle ball is all the rage now!

Tiger has done this for at least 7 years now...starts playing bad and then starts limping around.

Does anybody still golf? The rich guys in Austin spend their money on expensive carbon fiber road bikes these days. No one under the age of 60 golfs.
Damn.. golfers must age really well then.. can’t wait to start collecting my ss soon 🤣

Or maybe…just maybe…he starts to play bad because he’s limping and can barely walk. You know, after almost losing his leg and having multiple limb salvaging procedures done. But we all see it through the lens we prefer. I guess I give the guy who is one of the all time bests, trained with navy seals, and has nothing left to prove the benefit of the doubt.

EverY guy I know golf's, a lot, and not close to 60
No one I know golfs. I'm 56. I took golf in college and think it's boring. When I was younger, I would rather play basketball, tennis, frisbee golf. Just about anything but golf. I put watching golf up there with NASCAR and soccer. Zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz...

Then maybe its time to hang it up.

I think that he might be getting to that point.

Luckily for Tiger and the rest of the golf world, you don’t get to make that decision. When you’re one of the greatest ever, you’re afforded the opportunity to ignore message idiots and do whatever you want to do.

And the dude just won a major a few years ago...it isn't like he is playing like me out there.

Such an ignorant post. Yes, walking is hard after sustaining an injury like he did. Ask Alex Smith. SMH.
Thank you ! You people can attack his morals all you want and be fair, and you can say he deserves his injuries and be correct, but don’t question his working through pain…

Good thing I turned 60 last year so I can keep golfing😀. Not remotely true, however. My son, 23, and son in law 26, love to golf, as do their friends and many of my friends‘ 20-something kids do as well. I often see the young uns on the course.

You "took" golf in college? As in a class?
That's good stuff. You think it is boring because you suck balls at golf

I think it's boring. As in no interest. I took the class because I had to have PE credits. I'd rather go bowling. I was quite active as a young adult and golf was not in my Top 50 activities. Probably somewhere behind hide n' seek.

Guy doesn't have to prove anything. For his own health both physical and mental might be time to host events but not play

Tiger mysteriously lost his edge from the tee when the PGA started a PED testing program….. His short game was great but Tiger was slipping before the injuries.

He's free to do what he wants and he's more than earned the right to retire from the game how he wants and on his own timeframe. Getting in shape to play again probably motivated and aided in his recovery more than sitting and moping around would have.

Because you blow. If you were even mildly average, you would have interest.

Was he “close”? Same people that still think he has a chance are the same that think Frost just needed more time

Heard a doctor say he will never be able to walk 72 holes on the PGA tour again. Maybe we see Tigger joining LIV in 2024????
I can attest to how debilitating severe arthritis in your legs can be. It’s really depressing to not be able to do things for even a short time that you used to be able to do all day long. Tiger was on the decline before the crash but the only way I think he could compete now is with a cart and personally I would be fine with that even though I was never a Tiger fan.
