Stayed within 9 strokes of Koepka today. That a boy.**

Just making sure the hate stays alive. This is what he will look like on courses with tight fairways and unforgiving rough. But I believe it was his putter that hurt the most today.

You mean there are other guys playing besides tiger? “Live from” should be renamed “live from tigers junk.”

So his downfall is going to be not what his issue was?
Brilliant.**

Thanks for tuning in, but you read like Tiger did on the green today.

So his downfall is going to be not what his issue was?
Brilliant.**

His putting was his worst issue today. Accuracy off the tee will consistently be his struggle. His putting is normally not his problem.

Just like a hater to pull up one obscure day at one tournament to try and look cute with a "Tiger is back" weak attempt at sarcasm. Instead of looking at one round let's look at his last 3 majors. Finished the Open at 6th, then the PGA he was 2nd, and then won the Masters. At his age there are gonna be courses that fit his game much better and he's gonna look 30, then there's gonna be courses where he struggles to shoot 72.

The thickness of the rough and the length of some of those holes are going to make a lot of good golfers look like hacks. Keopka is hitting the fairways and so strong that the rough isn't as big an issue when he gets in it, as it is for most.

1- not all courses set up well for all players. Just a general reminder. That doesn't mean a successful player is back and doesnt mean a rebounding player has lost 'it'.
2- tiger won 8 times in '12 and '13 while hitting 63.3% of fairways. He is hitting 64.6% this season.

Not being the most accurate driver doesnt mean he can't compete overall.

Imagine being alive to witness greatness and to see the greatest golfer we’ve ever seen and not enjoy it. Kinda feel sorry for those losers. Sad!

I don't know why so many hate the guy after all this time. I don't think he can beat Bethpage Black and its length but wait until the US Open in June. He has always played Pebble Beach well even in down years.

It doesn't matter what he does, the fact that he came back after knee and back surgery to win the Masters is the biggest sports story of the year and one of the greatest comebacks ever. Finding joy in him having a bad round is just juvenille jealousy at this point.

Tiger's entire round should be televised tomorrow. It must've been a little difficult playing with Koepka today.

Koepka is a machine. Never understood the tiger hate. He’s arguably the greatest of all time and opened up golf for millions of people

He is hated for the same reason Jack Nicklaus was hated. He is also hated for the same reason the Yankees are hated. The Yankees are the most loved AND most hated team in baseball.

I would rather have witnessed his ex chasing his sorry cheating a$$ down the driveway beating the windows out of his vehicle with a wedge than see him play golf

He was the young buck once upon a time that was trying to steal Arnie's thunder. Tiger is hated for a different reason. Tiger is hated for the same reason Wilt Chamberlan was hated. And Muhammed Ali, and Jim Brown. They were all, for a short period of time so dominant in their sport that it just didnt seem fair. They literally changed their sports.

Tiger forced Augusta National, a place that resists change more than any other, to literally change the rough and the course because he overpowered it. Then the media jumped on and justifiably began to ask, "if Tiger isnt playing, why watch". This pissed off more people. Think of Wilt Chamberlain. He was so tall nobody could guard him. He put up ridiculous numbers until better competition came along. Muhammed Ali changed boxing from the brutal puncher to the dance and talk crap style. Jim Brown was like a Semi Truck going through a bunch of volkswagon beetles.

In each case, those athletes 'ruined' the competitiveness of the sport for a time and lowered the admiration of favorites who were playing during that time.

But nothing is forever.

All this true. I still got some older golf buddies that love Arnie and hate Jack. Of course they all suck now and I beat 'em by 10 strokes.

Thanks for the info. I had no idea. I think there’s no denying Tiger is great for the game when he’s winning. It’s just better.

As long as he is 2nd, I love watching. Koepka is the next one, he has it all. Needs to get on the major winning streak again.

I agree. If Tiger ever realized that his 80% swing (keeping it in the fairway) and on the greens in reg were a priority, he’d go back to dominance or at least top 5. But like all of us, when he gets the big dog in his hand he overswings.

His short game is awesome. His putting was once the best in the game.

If he’s driving well, most everything falls into place.

I dont disagree with your post.

Tiger is currently ranked 6th in the world...so 1 off your comment.
As someone who no longer follows the OWGR, that surprised me.
