Has anybody gotten a call about getting their tickets at DWS? Have we gotten any idea of how many people opted out? Or how many requests for tickets there have been vs how many seats will be available?

Got my call yesterday. Staying in the same section in the scoreboard club. Moving down about 5 rows and toward the middle of the section.

Will they have the same food setup, which I assume was the same as the East Club - self-service buffet style?

Someone on the 247 board said they called the ticket office and were told they were making calls to all the club members 1st (east, west & scoreboard) and once that was complete they'd begin calling ticket holders in the lower bowl.

I think the important thing is that the athletic dept/ Ticket office/ BDC, whoever, keep it a secret as long as possible. In no way should they release the plan or let people know whats going on......

my call was yesterday as well, same section, same row, within 2 seats of my original tickets. I will add, they couldn't have been more energetic in offering support going forward. I give them kudos for their effort in what has to be a logistical nightmare for them.

I got a call yesterday as well.

Staying in my same spot in scoreboard club (4 in club). Didn’t do the 4 tickets in section 4.

I also expressed my disdain for including politics in official university capacity.

The person was bery nice abt it and said they were trying to keep a balance in between no politics and supporting student athletes.

I told him I understood but for the good of the university and athletics to minimize the politics as much as possible.

Without calling the athletic department and asking. Can someone in the know explain their process a little better? Example: because I don’t have club level tickets am I going to be penalized even though my BDC rank is top 3000? I say that because I’ve seen other people who say their rank is higher than that but they’ve already got the call for tickets because they sit in a club level seat.

You won't be penalized. At that rank, you'll definitely get tickets and they'll probably be pretty decent. The lady at the ticket office told me yesterday that a lot of people opted out and people are still calling and opting out.

It depends on how many people opt in or out above you and how many tickets they have.

The club level people are only getting priority for club level seating is the way I understand it.

Because they are in club level. They are calling them first.

Did they say anything about BDC points? Getting 120 not to attend 5 games is tempting.

The BDC with all the club tickets matter in the Club section. When they start to call the lower level bowl seating your BDC will matter there.

A 630 kickoff is good news for a crowd for the opener. However with the threat of covid still out there, the restrictions on campus, having to wear a mask, social justice, TV.... I bet State has tickets available to the public before kickoff.

Just got my call. Got moved from 209 to 201. Not quite sure I understand the reasoning behind that move. Opposite end of the stadium but almost in the same spot yard line wise.

Not quite what I was asking. Is there a BDC BONUS for opting in for seats this year?

I went from 202 to 201.

My guess is they grabbed all the 200 folks who opted in, arranged by BDC rank (I'm around 750), and started sorting from there headed towards the 50.

You're about 100 points ahead of me and we were put in the same section.

I asked the caller what the options were BDC point wise and if there were bonus points for opting in or out and donating the ticket costs. He did not know as he was working for the ticket office. He said to call the BDC.

Sorry if I missed it somewhere in this thread. Have they stated how many games each ticket holder will be able to attend or are they just calling to discuss your new seat location?

I just got this email so I am assuming that they are starting to call lower level ticket holders.

2020 Football Season Ticket Holder Incentives

Hello 2020 Football Season Ticket Holder,

We are grateful for our football season ticket holders who are continuing to purchase tickets and support the athletic department through these unique times. Now that there is clarity in capacity limitations and temporary seat re-locations, The Bulldog Club is pleased to share the incentive plan for those who have chosen to retain tickets for the 2020 season.

Any Bulldog Club member who maintains tickets for the 2020 football season will receive 5 lifetime bonus points per ticket in addition to the standard 1 annual point per ticket already earned. (We will continue to maintain our maximum limit of 10 tickets per sport for point calculations. Meaning if you have 12 tickets you will only be incentivized for a max of 10 of those tickets.)

With the limited stadium capacity and restricted maximum amount of tickets that can be purchased in premium areas, most 2020 season ticket holders will have their pledges adjusted to lower amounts. If a ticket holder chooses to donate the difference between their initial required seat donations and their final required seat donation when tickets are re-located, they will receive 3x the priority points on those donated gifts. The donated difference will be allocated to our scholarship fund this year. Furthermore, if the ticket holder donates the difference in full they will receive a 50 point lifetime bonus. In order to take advantage of the 3x priority point incentive the account holder will need to call the Bulldog Club (662-325-3074) and notify a staff member that they want to donate the difference to receive the 3x priority points. This is not something that can be paid online through the Dog Tag. These 3x priority points require manual adjustments that can only be managed by our staff members in the office. 3x priority points will only be available for the donated difference in the required seat donation.

Thank you for purchasing your 2020 Bulldog Football season tickets. We look forward to seeing you in Davis Wade Stadium soon. If you have any questions or need any assistance with your membership, please contact our office any time at 662-325-3074 or via email at

Hail State!

Great - I think that's the email many of us have been waiting for.
