Any word on ticket sales yet for the game? I just saw that the tickets for the Rose Bowl game went on sale for Iowa on Tuesday, and by 2 p.m., there were already nearly 40,000 ticket requests for the 22,000 tickets allotted to the Hawkeyes. So they have sold out of their allotment. What is our ticket allotment for the Outback Bowl?

I called my rep-season ticket holder, letterman , donor-place your order and NU will sit you where ever they want based on purple points. No idea whether you will get sideline seats or corner nosebleed seats.

I was told you can buy endzone seats now but season ticket holders will not learn where their seats are for some time.

NU allotment for past Outback Bowl was 12,000--if NU has to to sell them you can be assured that they will not be great seats since their sale is guaranteed

NU's allotment includes club seats on the sideline for $170 each, and end-zone and corner seats for $80 each. I sat in the club seats for the Kafka game and they were great, especially when we needed cover in the club from the rain. But $170 (x 6 for my family) is awfully steep, so I think I'm going for the $80 seats. It's a great stadium and still quite new, so I'm guessing sight lines are good all over. As for the age-old debate about buying from NU vs. waiting for prices to come down on the secondary market, I'm planning to help NU sell its allotment by buying directly from the NU ticket office.

I'm a non STH, and my points have probably expired by now. The seats I was sold were in the endzone. Oh well, I'm going to cheer; if I wanted perfect sightlines I'd watch on TV.

dont really care if UT "buys" more than NU, but I think its really odd if NU has 12000 allotment and Tenn only had 8000 allotment - wouldn't they have the same allotment to each?

It may be but I do know that NU has not released any of their allotted club tickets. I do know that the main club tickets are section 209-212, basically between the 20's. They have the endzone tickets also. It probably will be 80/20 UT. Bowl wise, the Big Ten was smart to split up Tennessee and Michigan, both draw well in bowls.
