Hey guys,

I decided not to gamble this time and booked the flight and hotel without the tickets. I am looking to buy now and I see that sites like vividseats are about 30-40% less than stubhub. Any advice on which sites to use?

Also, any advice on the timing at this point? I figure it has a lot to do with Louisville and Duke winning, however, maybe some more experienced final four goers have some advice.

My guess is that the price of tickets will increase dramatically if UL wins tomorrow.

I've been to the last 3 and just bought them through Ticketcity and Stubhub. I paid a lot, but got good seats. Curious to hear what the guys pay from scalpers!

I just bought the semi-championship game pair for $930. Hefty price but not terrible considering its roughly 465$ per game - this was from stubhub btw

The prices on stubhub, ticketcity, and Primesport are just even more ridiculous than normal....obviously, we are undefeated, but damn! Gonna be a lot of tickets available on the street cause folks aren't gonna pay that!

I'm gonna gamble and let the next two games play out. If Duke and UoL win then prices might hold. There is a lot of supply out there still, so no need to cough it up yet. Might be easier to buy them with a local pickup than a ship to Oregon now.

I'd wait for tomorrow. And Seat Geek is pretty good usually. Hit Craigslist. Think outside the box. Search Louisville, Lexington, Cincy, Indy, Madison, and whatever towns the opponents are from. There are a fair amount of bars near Lucas Oil, and there will be tickets to be had (especially for Monday).

I don't have tickets and don't care. I'll be up there and just hit the bars. The party will be in the streets, bars and hotels immediately after the game.

OP, I bought a month ago and price of tickets has gone up 30% since then.

UK and Wisconsin will both bring a TON of fans. Both are rabid fanbases, and within easy driving distance. If UL also makes it, then demand will skyrocket further (MSU would also bring a good crowd). The only piece of the 4some that will not bring fans is the duke / gonzaga winner.

I would buy now, but that's just me. With 70,000 seats, you will always be able to scalp, but this might end up being the toughest final four ticket in history.

THIS^^^^

I may go and see if there are decent tickets available on the street, but I'll be content with a bar with big screen if need be.

Ticket prices this year are just to much for my blood. Advice, if you want to get some of the FF experience, go Friday for the team practices and All Star game. It's free, you can walk around the stadium, see the court, teams, etc. then go to the Fanfest at the convention center. Skip the WI game and if KY wins then put your time and money into Monday tickets. If you are hardcore, wait outside Sat night and see if you can find someone whose team lost that is willing to sell you their tickets for a much fairer price. Rest assured though, folks going have paid a lot of money for tickets. They are not going to be giving them away after the games if KY makes it to Monday. They will know there will be a major demand for them (especially if UofL or Duke make it to Monday as well).

What is the likelihood of getting seats from a losing teams fans after the games sat? Anyone had much luck with this?

Scalpers, scalpers, scalpers...There will always be one of them that will cry 'uncle' three minutes before tip, as opposed to having a worthless piece of paper in their hand. I have been to three national championship games without a ticket. Always paid about a 1/3 of what my chicken friends paid. I did the same as you. Booked hotel, flew in, circled the arena.

You don't think Duke will travel?

I bought my tickets after the reg season Arkansas game. $750 a ticket + 180 in fees and taxes. Just for the championship though. And theyre real tickets, not e tickets so they will look very nice when framed. 40-0 (and possibly against Duke or UL) is a once in a lifetime opportunity. Money is just that.

No, I don't. They are a small private school and most of their fans are of the bandwagon variety (certainly not people who will pay $1,000 or more for a ticket). They will certainly sell their allotment and their will be others sprinkled in, but there will be far more UK, UW, and UL / MSU fans than there will be Duke fans.

Wisconsin had as many fans at the final four in Dallas we did - at least from the crowd noise.

I suspect they are buying up tickets as we speak

This is ancient history but here goes: my only experience with trying to scalp Indy Final Four tix was for the national championship game in 1997 (UK vs Arizona). My dad and I drove up there fully expecting that the scalpers' prices would go down once the game actually started and we were willing to wait for that to happen. My general impression of the scalpers that I saw up there was that they were all incredibly scuzzy, they were ALL working together, and most appeared to come from the same background.

As it turned out my theory about prices falling come tip-off time was a total failure, the prices never came down, and it definitely appeared that the scalpers didn't seem to care if they had to eat their remaining tix. We finally gave up shortly before halftime and went to a hotel and watched the remainder of the game on TV.

Wisconsin will bring a ton of fans. As previously stated they had a huge crowd in Dallas.

Last yr in Dallas I had some Flash seats and my card wouldn't scan.. I wasn't the only one with a problem. I got through the gates with a security guy to a booth inside stadium.. the line was very long.. so myself and UF dude got out of line and up the escalator we went!

Also, for anyone asking, I did buy from a wisconsin fan last yr as soon as the game was over.. LL face value tickets... Will be a bit different this yr tho if its a duke/ky final!

There will be a lot of tickets available Saturday after each loss. The Monday ticket traditionally has been very inexpensive. But, if it's Kentucky and Michigan State, tickets should still be outrageous.

Just hard to tell, got to keep in mind that KY will be 39-0 so that will only raise the prices.. Agree though, id generally look for saturday games only.. I think you'll be able to find some cheaper tickets monday.
