It is no doubt in my mind, his greatest legacy will be how he was (in my opinion) the leader of the group that held MSU baseball together during a tumultuous 4 years. With what happened to Andy, without leadership from Jake our program could have fallen apart, and he touched on it in this podcast. He (and the others playing with him) were here for a reason...

Great podcast. Continue to be impressed with the Mayor’s maturity. A lot of folks could learn something from him.

This alone makes him worthy of induction into the Polk Ring of Honor as soon as he is eligible. His stats alone make him a worthy a selection, but the leadership and poise he demonstrated in his 4 years make him one of the all-time greats of MSU sports.

This guy is going to be our head coach in 20-25 years. I might hire him tomorrow if something happened to Lemonis (only slightly kidding).

The last four years were hands down the most successful consecutive stretch in MSU Baseball History.

Didn't include the highest finish, nor the most single season wins. But, four consecutive supers, two trips to omaha, an SEC championship, all accomplished under four different head coaches.

I am really going to miss the Mayor but excited about the future.
