OXFORD, Miss. – The University of Mississippi athletic program is under investigation by the NCAA for potential rules violations in multiple sports.
Athletic director Ross Bjork confirmed to Yahoo Sports on Wednesday that Ole Miss “is working with the NCAA” in an ongoing investigation. Bjork said the school has not received a Notice of Allegations from the NCAA, nor does it have a date set for a hearing before the NCAA Committee on Infractions. He declined further comment.

And still no sanctions.
I know that they are coming, but good grief. Three years is the new minimum length of time before anything actually happens.

Ahh yes, the "mostly track and women's bball" phase of the story. I remember those 2 years well.

It is absolutely hilarious as to how this story has morphed from women's basketball and track into Freeze resigning and one of the biggest football program scandals of the last 30 years. It is completely baffling at this point when trying to understand how Bjork could still be employed

This is the kind of stuff you get fired for if you are forthcoming and honest about it. He lied, deceived, and manipulated employees and journalists and still has a job. They must be scared shitless of him for some reason.

Can't understand why it takes so long. They're either incompetent or have extremely limited resources. By the time they get around to punishing the perps are long gone.

They've gotta have somebody left to fire after the sanctions are announced.

How does Russ Bdork still have a job? Seriously...how?

Because of the mentality of who used him to accomplish what they wanted. It hasn’t hurt to have the backing of the greatest concentration of morons in the northern hemisphere.

I think it took so long this time because so much new stuff kept popping up.

Because he's a willing participant in 'The Network', just like Freeze and other coaches/boosters that have been named. They're hoping to keep some vestige in place.

It's been said on here before. They wouldn't stop cheating long enough to get punished by the NCAA.

BINGO! Three years ago and this was just the start of .. ''Women's BB and Football stuff is ALL on Nutt."

Quote .."One source with knowledge of the probe said the bulk of the potential violations relate to women’s basketball. The source said the current football staff of head coach Hugh Freeze is not believed to be implicated in any major violations, and that much of the football inquiry dates back to actions by a previous Ole Miss staff. There's a pretty good thread on Nafoom

about us being behind all of their troubles.

The "Private Joker" cat has some hilarious takes.

It's worth a read, just to grasp the level of delusion some of their fans have.

For those that keep saying no sanctions have been handed down...I defer to this past Saturday night in Tuscaloosa.

And going foward, especially in the short term, most notably this coming Saturday, you have to think Auburn has the mindset....hey, Bama beat them by 63. If we win 28-10, that's going to look bad compared to our rival, so we need to run it up some ourselves. I think you need to watch for Auburn and Malzahn burying some past ailments this coming Saturday. Auburn 52-10....and the sanctions continue.

People act like he is the pinnacle of it all and it is all flowing down from the AD. Bjork is nothing but a useful idiot. A placeholder. He gets his marching orders and then he starts goose stepping. They may fire him if they have to.. like they did freeze.. but right now he is a willing participant. He would call a press conference to read a WebMD page on an STD if he was told to.

If it's the one where they claim the reason they're in this mess is because of State meddling and being jealous, then yeah. They're incapable of looking at themselves in the mirror and admitting that they threw middle fingers in the air at the NCAA and the rest of the conference. Then when they got caught at it, it was everyone's fault but their own. To date I've seen the following excuses and scapegoats:

1. State is jealous of their sugar bowl win and called the NCAA. Mullen has the NCAA in his back pocket.
2. Everyone cheats. They only got caught because they were sloppy.
3. It all happened under Nutt.
4. Alabama called up the NCAA after they lost to OM twice. Saban has the NCAA in his back pocket.
5. Someone hacked Tunsil's phone on draft night. FBI will clear this up.
6. Leo has to be lyin' because his story changed from getting handed wads of hundreds to getting them in a neat brown bag.
7. Coach Mullen can't compete with Freeze, so he offered up Leo to the NCAA and coached him on what to say.
8. Pat Forde
9. Dan Wolken
10. Thomas Mars

etc. etc.
