NU Hoops was coming off what looked like the biggest win of the year at Indiana. They were #10 in the NET rankings; Lunardi and CBS Bracketology had them as a #5 seed.

5 straight losses later (Including 4 games in a row in which NU was favored), NU has plummeted to number 38 in NET. Lunardi does not even have them on the bubble. CBS has them as one of the first 4 out.

I see this team losing out completely, save for a win at home against NW. But, I can also see Timmy keeping his job another year due to the class coming in and extremely limited (non-existent) interest in available coaches worth any thing.

Yeah I noticed Lunardi doesn't even list them in the First Four Out or Next Four Out. That's quite a free fall.

I actually think the Huskers have a puncher's chance to beat Maryland. If the Terps can lose to Illinois and Seton Hall, they are beatable in Lincoln. But this will require NU to break out of the "give up" mode they've been in the past few games, where they look a lot like the late-season dumpster fire of 2017.

I dunno. This team quit a long time ago.

All it takes is for them to realize the game is fun and to get some confidence going by making some shots. That said, I'm afraid Watson, Palmer and Roby are in such a funk that it won't happen. I really feel bad for Watson. Kid plays hard and really hates to not play well.

Miles is done. There is no way he'll survive this epic implosion.

They have a great recruiting class coming in?
Decent, nothing special. What’s important right now is keeping 2020 Top 100 instate recruit Donovon Williams, younger brother of Bryson Williams.

As well as trying to land 2021 Top 50 instate recruit Hunter Sallis.

I don’t believe we have to keep Miles to keep Williams, but that’s something a new coach will have to do. In regards to Sallis, 2021 is still a few years out so we have time to change the trajectory in order to keep him from Creighton, or from leaving the state.
