Incredibly none of them involved either of the two pitchers that were projected to be our best arms and two of the three was against pretty good competition. We will have an awesome staff if neither of these guys get it together this season. If we can just get one of those two guys up to speed we will be nearly unstoppable if our hitting comes around a bit.

Pretty crazy stat. 180 strikeouts thru 13 games. Basically right at 14 per game.

I realize the competition has been up and down at times but generally speaking this is a tougher non conference schedule than year's past and we've never struck out this many people. To me, it's awesome that we have so many swing and miss types of arms for the first time ever.

If McLeod gets back to form, our pitching depth will be pretty incredible.

The team that's played the last 3 games look like a top 5 team. I don't feel like they've necessarily dont that up until this point. I really hope we see 2 new starting pitchers on Friday and Saturday this weekend. Smith, Bednar, and Sims all feel capable of getting us atleast 3-4 innings of solid baseball, if not more.
