Thoughts on state championship venues

Seems like every year we have this discussion on where state championships in football should be played. Last year we got two new venues, Durham county memorial stadium, and Moretz stadium at Lenoir rhyne. This year I imagine Carter Finley will return to hosting, but what other venues would you all like to see host state championships?

I'd throw Gardner webb into the mix idk if the association would want potentially three title venues that far west though.

A minimum requirement for a venue should be it has to have a video board. I thought lenior rhyne was great last year.

I’ve been to 15 Tarboro state championship games and that was by far the best environment.
I agree I thought that was the best environment for a championship game I've experienced. I thought parking wise it was pretty good also. Not like the nightmare that is Carolina

Simeon Stadium in High Point,NC. High Point Andrews and High Point Central share the same Stadium. Alot of parking space and good location to host a State Title. Just me talking.
If they renovated it, maybe. It’s in absolute garbage condition from top to bottom. Even the paint on the walls is heavily chipped

I’m not mad it the venues we currently have. Kidd Brewer would be a cool addition too though. But Durham County Stadium is good, although it’s not as much parking as it should be.

I personally wasn't appealed by Durham county memorial stadium. It wouldn't surprise me if it's a one and done.

I think UNC Charlotte would be a cool spot. Wouldn't be a bad site for 1A and 2A and would be somewhat a central location for Robbinsville and Wilson Prep. Little under 4 hours for Tarboro. Would be the first time some of those kids have gotten to see the big city. Catawba wouldn't be a bad venue either.

I feel like UNC Charlotte will get a date soon personally. Hadn't thought about catawba, how is the parking there? According to Google maps it may be a problem lol

Jamieson, Simeon if renovation, NC A and T, Bowman Gray, Catawba Shuford Stadium, Memorial Stadium or UNCC in Charlotte if we're talking about central locations in the state.

If geography is not a factor then I would say App and ECU are good too

ECU would be nice. Biased ofc since it's just 30 minutes away lol. I think of the stadiums you mentioned, UNC Charlotte has a great chance of hosting.
