Thoughts on Dak Signing Before 3:25 Sunday

What does the board think? Stephen Jones said earlier that they are in active discussions with Dak's agent and hope to have a deal done by game time..

I think most of us love Dak and think he is a top tier quarterback (State U was huffing gas the other day putting Dak below Alex Smith and Cousins.) I love that he is confident enough in himself to bet on himself this season.... But he has $2 million guaranteed and a devastating injury can happen in football. I don't want to see him start that game with a $100 million+ guaranteed on the table and not sign. That's too big of a gamble.

I think there is a 60% chance a deal happens tomorrow. Where are all of you?

If theres 100 mil guaranteed on the table I'm signing. Yes, he may be leaving 30+ mil on the table or whatever it may be, but theres a much bigger difference between what hes making now and 100 mil guaranteed than there is between 100 and 130 or whatever it may be.

I linked an article the other day, but his fair market value, at absolute minimum, requires either $31.5 million per year over a 5 year extension or $32.5 million per year over a 4-year extension. And both of those would put him BELOW Wentz’s annual pay. So basically, he’s gonna get anywhere from $32-$34 million per year if he wants it. No question about it.
