One of the positives most arguing to start Tommy always bring up is: “He has been in the system for 5 years and has a full grasp of it and the full playbook. My question/thought is, could this have cause an unintended consequence of having a full playbook available when few on the field with TS have mastered it? Would the offense play better for TS as some suggest they do for GS if TS used more abbreviated version of the playbook (not as abbreviated as the GS version)? Basically are they playing harder for GS because they operate better in a less complicated version of JoMo’s system in year 2 or because GS sets the tone for leaving it all on the field with his playing style (helicopter move and all)?
IMO I like both and if TS is 100% I do believe he could be the better option against TN but I definitely see the point of going with GS the rest of the way. At most it costs us one more win this year but could make us better in the next few years. Tough call.
